I couldn’t wait as I had a deadline but I’ve just completed a quilt using the elongated swirl in the entire background to represent the wind. Not perfectly neat but standing back I’m finally happy with it! Angela, you were in my head as I did it, and I went back and watched past videos and downloaded your pdf on swirls first! (It’s Wind Drifter and was bought and fabrics chosen by my MIL before her stroke. She gave me the fabric for Christmas so I’ve made it for her 80th, which is tomorrow! I still can’t believe I’ve actually got it done in time! My daughter is hand finishing the binding for me - that’s the part I find tedious, I much prefer to machine bind but in this case it is the best choice.)
Hi - I'm so excited about being in this swirl class. I wanted to watch it live but I don't know when it started. This is my first attempt at being in your FMQ challenge!
Linda, she's putting out lessons that aren't live but I see a chat scheduled that will be live this Thursday at 1pm Pacific time. Get there up to half an hour early because she goes in chat to answer questions in real time. Good luck.
Excited to try these. Last week's swirls went better than expected, so that's a win! Did you create a color chart for which thread color to use on which part of the quilt? Curious which ones to use when. Thanks!
I keep watching your Easy T-shirt quilt that you did with your sons high school shirts. I have never quilted, not used to sewing or machines, not always the neat crafter either. I am worried going through with this, though I have already cut my shirt squares, a bit messy cus I have use of one arm. I am worried about doing this. The arrow blocks are cut and 3 sewn to a 2 6”x12” to form a 12”x12” arrow block? Correct? HELP
I find concentric swirls easiest because you don't have to wonder where to go. As with meandering swirls. You keep going until you reach the next line.

Excellent video! The low volume of the background music is truly appreciated! Thanks Angela!!!❤
great video! angela has such a good way of explaining, and it's so fun to watch her work her magic!
I absolutely love the elongated swirls! It was the easiest for me to learn! I use it ALOT!
The expanded resource is awesome!
This makes it so much easier. Thank you! 😊
Wonderful ideas!
Excellent tutorial thank you Angel

Yes, the lessons release on Tuesdays; and the live chats are on Thursdays. 😊

Question Angela - Are you using your ruler foot while FMQ these swirls?
Hi, are you using a backing fabric with your top fabric? Or are you making a quilt sandwich or not using any other fabric with your top? Thanks.

When you reach the center o.
Of the first swirl, do you echo h back on the inside or outside of the first swirl?
In the elongated swirls all mine go in the same direction! Can’t get them to face different ways…is there is secret?!
I could watch her fmq all day - it's hypnotizing!

Good morning.
