Advanced Reporting Techniques in AdapTable

Reports in AdapTable - the market-leading AG Grid extension from Adaptable Tools - are designed to be easy to use. With just a few clicks complex reports can be created, and when the user clicks "Export" (or sets up a Schedule), AdapTable will perform all the necessary evaluation and send the report data to the relevant export destination (e.g. xls, csv, table, json etc)
But sometimes developers might want to intercept this process. Possible use cases are:
- to prevent particular exports
- to format, change, or limit the report data in some ways
- to evaluate the report on the server (particularly if using serverside row model) and then hand the data back to AdapTable to export
