This is some of the best music I’ve listened to in years, this one’s definitely going in the list of my all time favorite albums. Wonderful review Good sir
I’m gonna be brief: This is a top contender for the best Death Metal album of the year. People who have difficulties understanding music at a higher level usually struggle with BI, but if you’re a metal fan who can actually play an instrument, enjoy other genres and understand less obvious/predictable compositions, you’re gonna enjoy it tremendously. And even if you don’t play an instrument, but if you can embrace deeper concepts, you’re gonna love it. Blood Incantation’s music is a clear reflection of its members. These guys are thoughtful, diverse and have a wide spectrum in terms of their influences. From Ambient artists like Steve Roach, Robert Rich and Klaus Schulze to King Crimson and Pink Floyd, to Morbid Angel. Great band, great album. 5/5
I wasn't familiar with the band other than seen the name mentioned often but the album wasn't hard to approach and enjoy. I was sold after a few minutes of the first track and like the whole album alot.
Album of the year for me. I'm absolutely mindblown by how good this is. To me its like a mixture of Pink Floyd influences and if Mastodon played death metal or something. Truly amazing work! 10/10! 🤘🤘
The Stargate is great. The prog rock part right after the beginning and the ending "Open the Stargate uuggghhh" are wow. Damn. 😅 IMO, The only issue with the song is the middle part, from 8 to 11-12 minutes mark, a bit too long for nothing. Can't wait to hear the second song.
Poor integration of the synth and lighter parts IMO. Have only heard the first three tracks available on Spotify, but the tapestries of synth and electronic elements, in addition to sample-like voiceovers, feel really inorganic and forced. Structurally, the heaviness and metal elements feel like they didn't get the attention they deserved. The riffs seemed assembled like a Frankenstein and the vocals have so much reverb and delay in comparison to past releases that they are really overproduced with studio magic. Missed the mark. I don't see the rest of the album being able to rescue itself from its own navelgazing. I did enjoy your thorough review however!
@@thelobster7277 Happy to hear your thoughts on why you think so. Also, FYI, after hearing the whole album twice, I think the last three tracks of the album only highlight its weaknesses.

Im even hearing Eloy style vocals on the pink floyd sounding track
Well said
I haven’t been able to get into much death metal lately but this album is a masterpiece
It is almost ridiculous how excited I am about this album.

It hasn't been released yet, though.
This album is Deadly.
This album is excellent, if you are into current Enslaved,Nachtmystium,Pink Floyd,Ambient keyboards, psychedelia atmosphere you will love it!
I listen to it everyday since i heard the album. Really good, ambient. Nostalgic for me. 80s movie music. Pink floyd.

It’s the death metal dark side of the moon for sure I said the same thing! So fucking good!
Album of the year or many years, pure gold.

Blood Incantation seems to grasp better than most that to be human is both life and death.

Voice sounds overproduced at time but still cool, its more cinematic
