Thank you! This is one of my favorite machines! Multi functional, it doesn’t take up much space, and very sturdy! We can’t wait to see what else you have. Great product!👍
2 thumbs up. Covered everything curious about. Seems sturdy, well built, the covering isn't cheap plastic, can go below parallel, easy transition between both. Thanks for the vid.
Good video, but the equipment is clicking and clacking as you’re saying it’s smooth. I doubt the constant clicking throughout the movements is a good thing.
Great video! I’m transitioning from gym training to home workouts and this was my favourite machine. I’m looking to get one by I live in a apartment on the 21st floor. Do you think it would be safe to use in a apartment?
It depends on how big the apartment spaces is. The machine is pretty big! Another option would be buying squat wedges and adjustable dumbbells. Both work really well and I’ll be posting a review on the Squat wedges and where to get them this week.
@Sperduti Fitness, how tall are you? I'm a big boy at tick over 6'4" and 360 lbs. Will I fit on this machine? Also, you didn't speak to the reduction ratio (1:2) when moving weight on a 45-degree incline. 500lbs loaded would be equivalent to approximately 250 lbs. on a vertical press or squat.
Thank you for the review. I just found one on Facebook for $400 lol I'm picking it up tomorrow. It's in perfect condition. Can you tell if there would be any way to add the safety feature to it in the future?
I have this same machine in our home gym, have had it for about 3 years now and my wife and i love it!. The body solid writing on the side is messed up I wish I could get a new decal. I know it's nothing but it bothers me lol
Great review! Is this the GLPH1100 or is it the GLPH2100 ? What about doing single legpress movement? I read that the platform is quite small and you may not be able to get correct form because of that.
Thanks! I’ll have to check on what GLPH series it is. The platform is small but I’m able to do regular leg press as well as single leg press off of the machine. The machine weight capacity is right around 800 to 1000 pounds. It’s pretty sturdy so far!
I'd prefer not having the stopped, so I can get depth. The one I purchased has a stopper that doesn't allow for any depth on the Hack or press. Sending mine back and different brand. They should make those Body Solid bars wide enough to add more weights that aren't 100 lb plates.
I'm shopping for a good machine. The lack of a safety is no problem for me as I have a welder and metal stock so building a safety stop on here would be a solution. I thought about getting a Titan leg press/ hack squat unit but so many negative reviews. I'm still going to do some more due diligence. I would appreciate some feedback from people out there regarding a leg press / hack unit.
Thanks for the review man. Any wobbles when you’re pressing with it loaded up? Also, does that hinge that lets the leg press platform swing up get in the way of toe press for calves?
@Sperduti Fitness I can confirm that you can do calf raises, it even states it on the machine itself. The 2 holes on the leg press foot plate (there are 5 in total 3&2) are for calf raise and that's also why the checker plate is rounded on the edge 👍
Watched this video to see if you could get full rom on the leg press. Looks like no. Hack squat looks good though. Maybe try putting leg press back angle on the lowest setting and see if it works then
Which do you recommend I’m stuck between buying the leverage squat machine and this hack squat/ leg press machine? Which would work better for overall leg development? Thanks
You should consider that although the perfect squat is a very good exercise for the quadriceps, the hack and the press are also good and by buying the machine in the video you would be practically taking two machines, the perfect body solid squat is good but I would go more because it is two in one.
Nice review. I've had mine about 4 years now. Nice idea on the velcro. I'm gonna try it myself as I've had happen to me what you described. My only gripe with the machine is it should have had a vit more travel. Im only 5'8" and even i have hit the top end when hack squatting and when doing calves despite putting the backrest ti the very bottom when song calves. Similarly i feel i can't get deep enough when doing hack squats. Overall however i think its a very good machine and i have no regrets.
Does anyone have any issues with the rack being noisy when moving up and down. It's as though the wheels are not centered and leaning to one side. I can only think that the floor the rack is sat on isn't completely flat causing a slight lean. I've tried placing some foam gym mats on one side to compensate but it's still the same. Any ideas welcomed, thanks
Your machine does not work normally i think the sliding should be silent, the four small white wheels should not make any noise unfortunately i got a refund for mine because it made the same noise because afterwards the central carriage will start moving. Some youtube videos show the perfect sliding without any rattling noise from the wheels of the glph1100 model. I am very disappointed with the bodysolid , not to mention the lamentable state of the poorly done paint.sorry for my english i am french
Thank you so much for the detailed review and demonstration of our GLPH1100 Leg Press/Hack Squat. We really appreciate it!

Thank you! Let me know if you have any other questions on the machine if you’re thinking about purchasing.
Got this based off your review, thank you, one question, how the heck did you get the handle for the hack squat bolted down.

Was that near DC? If so... you bastard ;)
I haven’t figured that out yet but a safety feature would be great!
Onde comprar uma igual no Brasil?

I really enjoy using this machine. It’s holding up really well and it’s very solid! 👍
I have this machine and I haven't even used it yet 😞
Good Video. Thank you for the detailed explanation.

This is from a few months ago so it probably got answered but it is the GLPH1100.
This was reallyyy hopeful now i know how to use the hax squat
I subscribed because of the Buffalo Bill sweater go Bills Go!! Bills Mafia Bay Bay !!!
Got the same machine. Thanks for the velcro tip. I'll be doing the same thing.
No problem!

I just received it and the assembly took a whole 4 hours 😢

No wobbling when loaded up. Unfortunately the leg press platform setup doesn’t allow you to perform calf raises.

How tall are you? I'm just wondering in relation to the hack squat whether I would get a Full range of motion. I'm 178 cm tall
I am 5’9! You can also adjust the base to help with range of motion. Let me know how you make out!
Great review picking one up tomorrow! I'll use your velcro hack!
Great!

Just assembled and having the same issue. I found that loosening the uprights and rocking the machine around a bit, then re-tightening, helped.
Great review. Thanks
Thanks!
just got one 💪🏽
Do you happen to know the weight of leg press/bar area without any weights on it?
Around 35kg 👍
Can it be loaded with 1 inch diameter weight plates?
I don’t believe so!
Excellent review, Right to the point, Thanks
My wheels move side to side
when i do it is that normal
Same with mine. I can only assume the surface the rack is on isn't completely flat. Did you get yours sorted in the end?
The safety stop is very important, however; I see that without it you have no issues going as far down as u want to go regardless of the users height.
I agree. I would have preferred some type of safety feature when performing leg press.
I need this!
It’s a pretty awesome machine!
I am 5'7", will I be able to hit full depth with this machine?
Yes, you should be able to hit full depth. You can also adjust the base which will allow for a increase in range of motion.
Is the sound of the wheels normal ?
Unfortunately From everything I have read yes it’s normal. I used WD4 and that seemed to help.
@@sperdutifitness thanks man
@@icepac8489 No Problem

I would say he is like 5ft7to 5ft9 range

Hey how tall are you. I’m 6’8 and want to know would I fit. Great video
I am 5’8, you may be a bit to tall for the hack squat/leg press.
@@sperdutifitness thank you.
@@sperdutifitness this is good to know. I’m 6’6
@@adalvldadalvld No Problem. Great machine but id does have height limitations.
I have this machine and I am 6'2, it is perfect for me
Wow! No safety stop? Are you kidding me! That should be mandatory IMO. How they overlooked that feature is hard to believe
Good video very informative. You need to take that shirt off and burn it.
Lol, thanks!
That looks like junk
