Man when I saw the liquipedia page I jump up in excitement. Man I can’t World Cup is possibly gonna be the greatest ow competitive event and I’m here for it
If you play OW and want more content for the game, more updates, just more of everything in general... Watch the OWCS. You don't even need to watch it technically, just have it playing in the background or on your phone. More viewership it gets, more following it gets, More incentive the companies will have the reasons to invest more resources into the game.
You know who overwatch and blizzard should be thankful for? You ATP. You have been so consistent and loyal to this game and esport. You deserve all the love man. I don’t play overwatch or keep up with the esports but I still want to see your videos. Your the man ATP
Btw Zeta division are also coming back to ow. They used to be called Jupiter and then rebranded to Zeta. They were active in contenders till like 2019-2020 or somewhere around there
Fnatic voming back is insane since they are huge and top 2 in eu in other 2 and Fearless refusing to retire and more Japanese orgs Fnatic also has like 5 champions and is basically Shanghai
According to liquipedia, cal and avrl, the 3 guys from m80 peli, happy and hawk was forced to retire due to EWC and OWCS rule booking. Lyar will also have to “retire” if the rumors of getting bliss after EWC are true.
@@yoyocherio guxue has a very very limited hero pool(winston, doom, rein in that order), they'll somehow end up forcing dive in a brawl/mauga meta. All his brawl heroes except rein are average, oa really needed one more tank
Hey ATP, love your stuff, thank you for all the videos over the years. How come you are not covering the final stage of the Faceit league? Seems like a pretty competitive bracket to me, especially with SSG going down 3 0 yesterday. Keep it up, man! Love your work!
I think region split is the only way to keep this esport alive, truthfully Korean players aren’t as marketable as western players due to language barriers it’s the same in most sports
At 9:00, you said that it is going to be the last phenom from na. I disagree, as they have much more room to show their abilities in the open circuit. Also, been watching since late 2019, been on all your streams. Love you man
FTG is my team and I was disappointed they didn't make it to Dallas. They are fun to watch and being a Shock and Justice fan I got the best of both worlds. I don't think it is a skill issue with them, it's all mental. They have to realize they can beat the big two. I became a huge Bernar fan after watching them in the Korean stage. With Fearless, it isn't so much as needed skill but the ability to lead the team either in game playing or encouragement when not playing. I hope they can beat Falcons and CR.
the only reason orgs are getting involved is because of the ewc having a system where the better your org does across all games u get some money, they dont actually care about the game
on god please give asia the 3 seeds from na and eu we dont want to watch more one sided games cr vs falcons was the only good series we saw the whole major ftg and yeti wouldve atleast been entertaining seeing how they can usually take maps off these 2
do you think these orgs stick around if OW is dropped from esports world cup? id think not. its nice to have them while theyre here but i dont expect them to stick with overwatch for the long haul
It really makes you wonder what some of these contracts are looking like. Surely all the eu teams that got signed are on event contracts not long term ones, so most of these teams won't get dropped but like just their contract to represent these orgs will probably end post event I can't see Bleed, Gaimin Gladiators, Virtus Pro, FNC or Zeta being long term contracts for stage 2. Maybe theres a clause or something in there that if they do well the contract extends but if your an org you probably only really want to sign people for the big lans
@@haterhater6409 I assume zeta would stay considering the roster is strong, and fnatic as well. LGD and Gaimin could leave but I could see a decent chance of them staying. VP and Bleed seems like the least likely to stay.
@@haterhater6409 especially fnatic and zeta. I feel like theres no reason for them to leave considering korea is a region with an all season long LAN tournament with lots of attention locally and making such large signings as well doesnt feel like something you'd do for a short term thing. Gaimin just beat SSG so if they can keep this up maybe the org would consider signing them long term.
I’m a hawk believer and a coluge doubter. I genuinely believe hawk was the best non-korean tank, apart from maybe super. Coluge has displayed fraudulent gameplay since he left the SF shock in my opinion. M80 got a hard downgrade, and I think they will have a hard time even qualifying for the finals LAN event.
all of this glazing for the team rebrands but when falcons does it everyone hates? btw checkmate is a 3RD flex dps and majed was a 2nd one with a different hero pool than fielder and everyone hated
i really hope Pelican doesn't leave NA. This region is already the weakest by far. We need a team to help raise the scrim quality so that Toronto doesn't flop again
I actually think toronto shot themselves in the foot too with their comp decisions. Theyre trying to make a super flexible team but they dont have the players for it.
Yo atp in cases you ever feel like ur content isn’t good let me tell you i stopped watching pro overwatch 2 years ago and i prolly never will but i click on ur uploads like every single time bro.
thank you atp for existing idk
😅
Real
also Thai team DAF got picked up by Singapore org BLEED, which is a pretty well known org, they also qualified to the EWC
thats awesome, hyvision and ace look like they can hang with all the big dogs in my opinion
That’s great!
Man when I saw the liquipedia page I jump up in excitement. Man I can’t World Cup is possibly gonna be the greatest ow competitive event and I’m here for it
There’s no lower bracket which may ruin it

Will you make a Dallas recap/takeaway video?

FMCL in NA got picked up by Timeless this week as well!
Glad seeing these major esports orgs getting involved. As an Outlaws fan, I’m happy for Fearless coming back.
Btw Zeta division are also coming back to ow. They used to be called Jupiter and then rebranded to Zeta. They were active in contenders till like 2019-2020 or somewhere around there

Its great seeing so many orgs get teams but the real test is gonna be if they stick around after this year
Team peps is so underestimated...
Ngl I’m so grateful this channel exists. Wish I found this channel back during owl
Checkmate can also cover Rein.
Idk how they are going to do it but Korea should get 3 spots in the major
honestly the fearless/bernar tank line might be the best one in the world. definetly at least on par with falcons and CR
Have you heard of lgd Wu feng oa
@@yoyocherio guxue has a very very limited hero pool(winston, doom, rein in that order), they'll somehow end up forcing dive in a brawl/mauga meta. All his brawl heroes except rein are average, oa really needed one more tank
@@shlokdhara5798 I believe in coach rush being able to get him to a competitive level on other tanks. Theyve been scrimming a ton of JQ
I’m glad I’ll be here for a possible renaissance in overwatch esports.
Now all FTG have to do now is hope that alphayi doesnt dash into his supports with a pulse bomb and that flora doesnt miss his bob
And viol2t stop getting money.

Cool video
wait.. isn't TSM picking up the old timeless team and timeless is forming up a new team? or am I tweaking
TSM has already picked up TML and TML picked up FMCL.
Irony and Bliss are still part of finatic to my knowledge, they are just inactive players
Bliss is joining m80 after EWC when lyar leaves
Ftg already almost knocked put falcons imagine the beast they could be with fearless
Kinda upset team china/spark/once again/LGD can’t compete in Asia them not being eligible is nonsense
Don’t forget Wu feng tech

Coluge seemed lost tbh in Faceit League games recently tbh. Lyar and tr33 carried them through the EWC qualifiers, with spectra and UV being alright.
Wait is punk back????!!!
I think yeti should have kept bliss his game play was better than leejagon

It sucks how the WNBA exist while Overwatch Esports is struggling…!
Why does one sport with a completely different target demographic have to be at the cost of another? I don't understand this take.
