    Nice job, I have the older x595 version and it is a very solid tractor. And yes my 45 loader cylinder is leaking too. Maybe a future repair video?!?

    You should make more videos on your John Deere 100 series tractors

    Thanks for all that you do for all of us Johndeere freaks out here. Over the years I’ve had plenty of the 300 series and 400 series currently have two 455s but I am purchasing a X748 ultimate. I had a quick question. Is there a difference between an X748 and a x748 ultimate?

    I have a x748 awd and x595. I like the manual 4wd a lot better on x595

    What's the lift capacity of the BUC10169 3 pt. hitch on the on back? I have one on my X740 but the install booklet didn't have a spec sheet with the pertinent details. Trying to figure out how much box blade to get. 4 footers come in various weights. Thanks

    Thanks for your video! I’m considering buying the x758 and was wondering what your thoughts are on the available aftermarket loaders available since the 45 is no longer available? Little buck loader or similar.

    • @mmrbeef
      @mmrbeef  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      CTC would be the loader I would go with. Frankly my opinion of the Little Buck and Little Bull loaders is poor. I think they are unsafe and it is only a matter of time before someone hurts themselves. Since I have never operated a Little Buck or Little Bull you can take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I’ve spent hundreds of hours using my 45 and I just don’t see the cost vs benefit payout. A CTC is going to run $3700 from what I hear, a little buck is going to run half of that and do 1/3 the work.

    Nice video. Does the blade up/down spool have float?

    • @mmrbeef
      @mmrbeef  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, there is one spool that can float. The other spool does not have float.

      @@mmrbeef thank you sir! Your videos have been very helpful. As a long time 318 owner, I'm about to add an x748 with a 7 iron deck and 47 blower to the stable.

    did you rebuild the 45 loader curl cylinder yourself ? my local guy want $500 to do it and the seal kit onlines only $93 but not sure if its easy to do yourself

    • @mmrbeef
      @mmrbeef  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did rebuild it myself. A little studying and patience with the seals and it got put back together. That seems like a really high price for a rebuild. There are lots of good general cylinder rebuild videos on TH-cam that will help you through the process.

    I have a question if you would be so kind to answer it. Do you know why John Deere decided to stop making the 45 loader, since it obviously fits the X7s and they are still in production? I had one years ago on a X585 that I traded in on a 1025R that I just traded again for a 2025R which will probably be the last one I buy since the added height and increased hydraulic pressure is exactly what I was looking for and needed. It does everything I ask of it and am very happy. sorry a little long winded, Thank You.

      It cost deere to much to keep up production of the 45 loader. It cost the same as the 1 series loader to make but due to ROPS requirements, deere has to pay off liability and have the ROPS uprights directly on the loader because the x7series do not have ROPS. I've talked to reps about this as I bought my x748 new in 2012, the year that model was discontinued after finding out 2013s would not have loaders.
      Also, there is another way to boost hydraulic pressure. Deere sells shim kits that go under the implement relief valve. Shimming different amounts give different boost. My x748 has a 1000pounds max. The system is made to handle double, 2000.
      Deere limits them to 1000+/-. Boosted mine with 13mm shims and got 1350pounds. Most people limit to no more than 1500

    hello i wanted to ask you a question is it possible to mount the jd 45 front loader on a jd 455 mower?

      Not without a lot of modification. The subframes are completely different.

    Why wouldn't you just by a 1025R. I've often wondered what drives folks to pay 12k for a garden tractor instead of a sub compact?

    • @mmrbeef
      @mmrbeef  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have no use for a 1 series. I have a 4066R for tractor tasks and use the x700’s I have to mow and off jobs. The 45 loader is nimble enough to get into tight spaces the 4066r cannot get into and the X700 platform is a superior mowing platform compared to a 1 series. The 1 series is a great sub compact utility tractor while the x700 is a great garden tractor.

      @mmrbeef I owned a 455d. I was so disappointed to find out for a few grand more I could have a 790 w loader!! Hey, if u got the bucks for a 4066, I am sure a x748 is a drop in the bucket. For average home owners with 1 to 5 acres, just makes since to go with a far more capable tractor/loader with a real 3 point cat 1 hitch. FYI, I traded my 455d for that 790 and loved it. Best of luck to you. X700 machines are beautiful. Love to own x748 next to my 2025r.

    Where did you get the seat?

    • @mmrbeef
      @mmrbeef  ปีที่แล้ว

      Deere no longer offers the SE seat. Milsco is the brand. The option now is the air ride seat but it is very expensive…. $1,000 plus at most dealers.
