      Its southern Michigan that is starting to get over crowded quickly. I'm from 20 miles north of Lansing and drove down south of Pontiac and Detroit area last week, and man has that area exploded. Traffic was nuts with people heading north.. definitely stay away from flint and avoid drinking water anywhere within 50 miles.. I'm an hour west and haven't drank tap water in years and probably never will again.. I know it's perfectly safe where I live because my brother works for the local DPW but it just crazy to think about flint, mi still having undrinkable water an hour away from where I live.. I mean it's not a great city to begin with and u avoid flint altogether anymore

    A must during anyones travel to Traverse City is seeing the sunset at Sleeping Bear Dunes near Empire Michigan.

      Wife and I had our honeymoon at Empire last year. You've got to also do the dune climb all the way to the lake, bonus if the wildflowers are in bloom.

      vagabrothers you know what? I'm going to Frankenmuth Michigan next month. It's south of Traverse City so I might just give it a go. Thanks for the suggestion. Do you know Frankenmuth? It's a Bavarian looking town with tons of schnitzel restos and lots of souvenirs. It's Real tourist trap but lots of fun and the food is very delicious and filling. Lots of full figured tourists go there. Check it out! www.frankenmuth.org. Ciao

    • @johnq4535
      @johnq4535 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yet, I am correct. Too many of you I see move here and then bellow " I'm a local," as you continue to destroy the area. You people are like an invasive species...zebra muscle....Asian Carp...and you.

    • @johnq4535
      @johnq4535 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The first hint that someone is NOT a local, is when the first thing out of their mouth is "I'm a local."
      The 2nd hint is that retarded-ass M22 sticker or clothing.
      lol and the 3rd big hint is support for anything Michael Moore related.
      Trust me as someone who's family's been here since about 1860.

    I'm from Michigan and I got so excited when I saw the title to this. If you come back to Michigan you have to check out the upper peninsula and hike Tahquamenon falls. For a more city feel go to metro Detroit and see some cool museums, get awesome food, and stop in for the Woodward dream cruise

    I live in Michigan and my cousin lives in Traverse City. One of my favorite places to go along with Grand Haven which is on the west side about 2 hours south of Traverse City. I've never been to Pictured Rocks but I heard it's amazing. It is in Munising which is east of Marquette.

    I live in Michigan between Lansing and Flint, it's actually a great place to live during the summer.. tons to do, us locals call it "going up north" on vacation or just the weekend.. I'd say half of people living in mid Michigan own property or a "cabin" or travel trailer on property in northern Michigan.. everyone goes up north on the holidays and weekends and it's just normal to do and have fun every weekend. Not sure how many other states are like that.. there's literally a different place to go everytime.. usually we lease a property for a year and switch up places every few years.. we fish off Saginaw bay for walleye.. few years ago we fished lake huron in Rogers city, Michigan that was the best spot and so much fun and memories

      I worked in TC for a few months on hotels and condos and had a blast.. you should check out the UP also known as the upper peninsula, great for relaxing and getting away from civilization for a couple weeks, and so many fresh water river go fish and kayak.. check out "pictured rocks" one of the absolute best things you will ever experience and the only place in the world like it
