I went through one hell of a drug addiction and this song is a perfect analogy for my ride through hell and back to sobriety. 8 years clean and it was not until the last couple years I started to feel like what I feel is my true self again.

I watched my brother fight this fight. He didn't make it. The cannibal got him in the end. The first time I heard this song I saw him and his struggles and my struggles as a recovering addict. The fight and the struggle is real. To all who suffer I hope you find the strength to make it out alive. To those who have made it out stay strong.

So we have to make our lives meaningful.
Just because our lives will eventually end doesn't mean we should give up, quite the opposite.
