Robby, very good vlog, great synopsis of all that’s at stake and well put into perspective. You called it, one big winner on the night, a real education for Larne.
@@gabes965 A massive learning curve for Larne and the rest of NIFL , we need a team in it every year going forward, it's the only way we can better ourselves
Can't believe that Larne actually won the Irish league. The standard in that league must be very low. The lowest ranked team in the league of Ireland would have beaten them as well. The ridiculous comments of "experience" won it for rovers is so misplaced. Not one player of the Larne team would get a place on the Shamrock Rovers team. This easily could have been 7/8 nil.
Larne are far from used to such occassions, such build ups etc. Rovers are old ha ds at it. I think thats whats being suggested . Rovers clearly better, even with several top players on the bench, suspended, and injured. Move on now to TNS and take nothing for granted
100 % correct , the Irish league is pissarro poor standard and I am glad it was in full view last night , nothing to do with occasion or build up just a vast difference in the level of the to league s
Great Vlog, well done. The first time Rovers qualified for groups we were well beaten every time too, you have to build that experience. It'll come over time for NIFL teams.
Delighted to see this video up. A historical game, would love to see an Island of Ireland competition again but none would be more lucrative than the opportunity European competition has brought our island.
Thanks for the coverage Robby. You knocked it out the park, as usual. Great to see coverage of this historic encounter. From Larne's perspective, that was a bad result. Next game away to Olimpija Ljubljana in Slovenia. Good luck for what promises to be another tough match.
Good coverage. Well done. Not a rovers fan but they played well good for both teams. When you that the money involved for playing in conference could keep LOI IL team going for a season and it wouldn't pay the academy of Chelsea for a month .
Quality coverage Robby! I think Larne can only learn. Rovers are extremely good & on a different level within European footy to newcomers, Larne!! Like you say... spend whatever, but in the end, experience is key, and that was never in the Invermen's handbook!!
Rovers are the biggest club in Ireland, Larne, despite their recent successes, are probably about 20th on.that list . Rovers will clearly have a massive support by comparison. Just a pity most clubs on the island dont have stadiums capable of hosting such games
@@albertmccready478 agree but Linfield are the most successful in Ireland domestically. However on a European level, rovers are now the most experienced at group phase etc. Rovers average attendance is around 7,000 which is more than many League One & Two clubs.

I thought Larne were very poor. Doesnt say much for the league up there. Rovers even rested some of their top players for Sundays league game v Dundalk. There is a massive gulf in class between both leagues.
