SME Assembly 2024 - Early Warning

The SME Assembly is the most significant event for European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Hosted by the European Commission and the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, the SME Assembly 2024 took place in Budapest from 18-20 November and featured high-level panel discussions and networking opportunities.
The "Early Warning Europe: Advancing Mentorship, Business Resilience and Community of Practice" masterclass provided a deep dive into mentoring for distressed entrepreneurs. With a focus on crisis mentoring, the session also introduced key policy recommendations to enhance mentoring in national early warning systems. It emphasised the importance of a supportive ecosystem that unites policymakers, mentoring organisations, and business networks to aid distressed businesses, to build SME resilience and drive growth.
