I’ll never forget watching this . Been a fan since before they even played their first game . Vegas needed this so bad after the tragedy here. I’ll never forget this my entire life. And since then they’ve made the playoffs every single year . Really wanna see them hoist a cup. Having a tough start this season but that’s mainly because we have like 10 injuries . Regardless this first season was special ..
and they did it. They’re 2023 Stanley Cup champions !

Holy smokes, they won a LOT of games in overtime.
They went to OT 12 times and won 8 of them.
Blog Man Ry if ya watched closely. They Forced all those overtime and won.

Even if we came up short to Oshie, Holtby, Ovetchkin and the rest of the Capitals I am glad I watched history being made in Vegas.
I highly doubt there will be another expansion team that makes it to the Stanley Cup finals that same season

They're off to a pretty rough start right now but I know they have it in them to be great again. Will they get into the Stanley Cup Finals? Who knows. Nothing's impossible but I know Vegas has it in them to do great

First season of Vegas golden knights and get to the finals like I was pissing my pants when they made it to the the playoffs and than made it to the finals lol.
Was finally able proudly say I was born and raised and live in Las Vegas...all because of what this team did their first season.
u must be under 30 years old then....i would retract that comment if i were u no offense... only because u clearly don't know about Tark & the rebs of the late 80's/early 90's..... That era of Rebel basketball supercedes ANY sports we will ever put out... ever.

Haven't gotten there yet but I assume it's Karlsson goal, which was fantastic but between the legs are too overdone for it to be goal of the year..

@@dgreatll Yeah. They're way too overdone to be goal of the year. It was a nice goal and probably still top 10 or maybe even 5 of the year. but the past 4 or 5 seasons its been done a ton. of all time? not even top 100 i wasnt talking about that lol. but there were better goals this year

I couldn't believe our Knights were going arena to arena and just crushing it in their first season. Loved it.
I only watched these matches cause I live in Vegas, 2 seasons later, I’m playing NHL trying to win the Stanley Cup and bidding in eBay for a Fleury jersey... #VegasStrong
That was intense and made me cry
Subban was exceptional but I think Fleury was the story of the Knights goalkeeping lots of love for my favorite player Flower and lots of love for the Knights
Subban was good when he had to be. Other than that, he's mediocre at best, complete headcase. Lets one goal past, then he just snowballs

A season like this is really rare for a expansion team vegas got really lucky with there opening lineup and it brought them to the finals 22 games in they had a record of 16-5-1

Amazing video. And thank you for using awesome music (Arrival to Earth from the 1st Transformers movie for amazingly well) as most videos like these I have seen use shitty hiphop/rap music which not only doesn't mix well with ANY sports highlight vids literally doesn't mix well with hockey (not trying to make it a racial thing at all but music used in this vid fits perfectly with hockwy)
As a Knights fan i was sad for about 2 seconds that they didn't win the cup then I got over it. I mean you can't feel anything but pride as a Vegas native/local that they got as far as they did.
At the start of the season I was just praying that they would break the Panthers inaugural win record and everything after that had be gravy.
100% proud of this team and everyone with the GOLDEN knights organization. We here in Vegas will forever be greatful for how they helped us through a rough time due to Oct. 1. Also, being conceived and born here, they will always be OUR NUMBER 1 TEAM. Yes, the Raiders are coming in 2 seasons and will be welcomed but we will be the 3rd city since their founding in 1960. Nothing personal Raiders, but the GOLDEN Knights will always be Vegas's TRUE team.

Can't choke on your first year, teams go decades and decades without ever getting to the finals let alone win one, Vegas fans should cherish the first year team because it might be a long long time before they ever go back, especially after this year it looks like the first year was some luck, as long as the make they playoffs they have a chance though. They don't call the Stanley cup the hardest trophy to win in professional sports for no reason.

For anyone who isn't impressed by this consider the fact that the Minnesota wild have been in the NHL for over 20 years and have never made it to the Stanley cup finals. Las Vegas made it in their first year.
