This scene where a black women's house is swated by what is basically the police, and she can't make any movements without someone getting trigger happy. That's why this scene didn't work then and doesn't work now.
@Talena Meechan Within the contex of the show, Julia the person is taken over by someone named Purity, so Julia is not in control of her actions. Also, when they first raided her house they did so based on Supergirl's assumption from her dream, and not because Julia did anything at that point.
Am I the only one who finds it ironic that Melissa is on Waco Wednesday nights playing the wife of a cult leader whose cult claims they were illegally raided and here she is leading an illegal raid on an American citizen who has committed no crime other than being suspected of being a World Killer because of a vision Kara had? I know its just a show but the irony struck me.
Wow!! i just thought about it and i realize that purity is just like reign they both have inside metas. it's also in Flash with Caitlin becoming killer frost and another girl becoming Magneta so they are all alike the difference is that in Supergirl Julia becomes purity when she hears the music playing and Sam becomes reign when she sees Supergirl or when she gets angry and in Flash Caitlin becomes killer frost when she's angry or scared but especially when she's about to fight, but now she can control it so she can become her anytime she wants. and the girl that becomes Magneta i don't remember her name,she becomes Magneta when she is angry i guess so all of them have the same powers the only difference is that they have different way to become their inside meta.

Fantastic scene, but they forgot Kara has x-ray vision. She wouldn't need to search the house and there would be no need for IR searches. Other than that, the characterization was perfect. She would seek to protect an innocent person, even if she suspected they were a potential threat. If she protected the cops with an ice wall, she wouldn't need to punch a hole in it to see through it. So, they forgot one thing. We all love these things, but if they're going to make shows about flying people from outer space, Atlanteans, Amazons, and benevolent mutants, they need to validate the characters by staying in the characterization. She has x-ray vision, like Superman. The sound effects, music, action, cinematography, and everything else was great. ;-)
Immo be political for a moment but does this not appear as a bit sus of them coming for a black woman like that in her house... plus why was Alex trigger happy?
ThatWeirdGuy 101 pestilence is 3rd but fourth aka power I’m not sure - unless weirdly enough that turns out to be Kara and that’s why the priestess in the fortress doesn’t mention her unlike the high priestess in Fort Ross
