I’ve had both happen and I feel this way almost daily.

I've lived with severe, treatment resistant depression and suicidal thoughts for most of my life, Ronnie's lyrics hit hard.
I get it. 100%. This song helped me try to explain my thoughts to family because I couldn’t find my own words. All time favorite song of mine. Hearing “I just want to feel ok” shook my core
Careful with the meds. They (the VA) gave me 200mg of Zoloft a day and it made me wanna off myself more. PTSD is a bitch
But why? The only reason that keeps me alive is that I am afraid I am gonna survive my attempt and then I am Fckd. 😂
When he goes “i fell asleep at the wheel again, crashed my car just to feel again” i have to scream it every time its so impactful

Ronnie is beyond excellent but let us not forget there is an amazing band making him able to be as amazing as he is. This band as a whole is talented as hell

He was "dangerous" back in the Escape The Fate days. Dude just oozes talent.
The greatest part about the drop near the end is the instrumentals to me. Ronnie is so good you don't realize the effect the music is having on you. The fast drum roll makes you mentally feel like you're running. The drums fade into an ascending feeling that makes you feel cornered right before the drop hits and lets you loose on what you were running from. The instrumentals from start to end really drive the emotion to the lyrics Ronnie is planting in your mind. The reason this song is so universally loved, is that it does everything music is meant to do. You feel it. Ever note, lyric, drop, rise...everything.
Kyle, the fact that you laugh and then sigh before the breakdown baecause you know whats coming and Eric does not........ is pricelesss lol

Ronnie has said in one of his reactions to the two rocking grannies befor or after the ladies listened to, I believe the drug in me is you re-imagined, that they felt that Ronnie was depressed, and a torchol sole, and they just wanted to hug him, and make hot coco penat brittle. Ronnie's response was 'I don't write about being happy, we write about our challenges, nobody wants to hear abouteverythingis fine", this is how and why we connect to songs because we can identify with the lyrics. (I hope I didn't butchered the quote).

He is friends with Tom M. They were supposed to tour together but got cancelled because of pandemic or (Nova getting sick). This is a deep and raw song. Love it. I also love I Am Not A Vampire (revamped) and The Drug In Me Is You (reimagined). His voice is sick in these 2 songs. Thank you for this.🤘🏻

Ronnie does some serious soul stripping in most of his songs, which is even more amazing if you consider that he has more than the average amount of haters and showing your vulnerabilities must be extra hard.

I just seen him live Monday night... he is JUST AS GOOD LIVE!! The experience was fire. My 11 and 8 year old daughters had a blast (they're obsessed with everything Ronnie lol) If you ever get the chance to catch one of his shows, do it!
Just saw Falling in Reverse live on the 29th and it was EPIC!!!! They ended their set with this song and dedicated it to a fan who had lost her dad and had buried him just the day before the concert and Ronnie was so understanding and kewl with us at the VIP Q&A experience

You guys should definitely do the drug in me is you reimagined and I’m not a vampire revamped, but watch the original songs and then then watch the new versions. It’s so crazy how he took two songs and re created them to show a whole different meaning and to show how creative and good he really is as a vocalist and artist!

This song feels like it was written straight from my brain. Pretty much all of them feel that way. I struggle with multiple mental illnesses & I was disabled because of the severity of them. I went through some really dark times where I was living these lyrics. I lied & told doctors I was fine while acting riskier & hurting myself to try to feel something. Even now, I’m struggling & am finding self in these songs. Listening to FiR is helping me verbalize my hurt & anger to myself & that’s allowing me to intervene with my toolbox of coping skills before I become so far off the rails like I would do in the past. I think it’s important to have conversations about mental health & destigmatize it. Music is a universal language & having this band that offers something for every genre, I feel like they’re helping make that much needed shift.
Also, Eric, thank you for being honest & vulnerable about your own struggles. It’s important to hear men’s voices on a topic that is stereotypically a issue that only women have or can talk about. Many men are starting to speak up & adding your voice to that conversation is helping steer it to the actual reality.
I think it's funny you ask about his vocal warm up. People ask this on his twitch a lot. He says he does not do vocal exercises and to that testament the last few shows when he's streamed beforehand, he has played warzone up until he has to basically go on stage, LOL. So vocal warm up? Drinking water and playing warzone while roasting folks in the chat.

My favorite line is “crash my car just to feel again”. Going through depression, I’ve had that thought while driving in freeways. Seeing a pillar coming up and thinking, what if I just crashed into that bridge?
I love this song so much. It says exactly how most of us feel. And sometimes it's hard to express exactly what we are feeling. Most of have been told it's a faze and it will be fine, maby so but are feeling are valid. And half the time we feel like we are traped in a maze, and all we want is to feel ok.

@@Rykerroad Maybe it's the water he drinks he is all over that to stay hydrated. He stop the show if he someone in the crowd struggling and make the guards give them water and will not start back until he knows they are good. He says it all the time in his reaction videos they need to drink more water they ate dehydrated, drink water ....

Really didn't know this band until I saw them at Rocklahoma a couple of years ago. Got right up front and this song resonates so much. I try to be a good man but I have shit in my past that would make people think twice about me. So I really feel like people that like me and respect me only like me for who I am now but they'd hate the monster I was. Btw I'm a 58 year old veteran and still banging my head. 🤘

This is the song that introduced me to FiR... and it changed my life. It was the first time I was able to put in words the mental health crisis I've dealt with my entire life. This song alone has done more than 10 years of therapy. The US Army therapists basically told me if I talked about how much I was hurting they'd take my kids away. So I told them I was fine. Ronnie speaks to me and I've never looked back.
When ronnie hits those high notes on "Im falling apart", chefs kiss.
