This is lighting a fire under me. What a timely word. May God have mercy on our precious children's souls, and keep them for honorable use in his sovereign hands.
Greetings from Westwood Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee! This is so encouraging. My wife and I have three children, all under four years old. Even though she can't read yet, our three-year-old likes to hold the "baby" (pocket) psalter and try to sing along while my wife and I sing from the "daddy" (full-sized) psalter. She started crying the other night when she thought that we were going to skip "RSP" ("read, sing, and pray") that evening. We definitely see the reality of the "holy habit" setting in after just a few months doing this together as a whole family. We occasionally do read from the Family Worship Bible Guide and agree that it's an excellent resource.
Don't get me wrong I understand the need for our daily bread and our spiritual food every single day I can tell when I spend a day not praying first how much of a difference it makes
I appreciate his zealous spirit for family worship to the Lord. However, let's be realistic about the fact that most families have very little time spent with each other because of today's economy. Of course we should make it count as much as possible, but some of us are just surviving and of course that's by the grace of God. For example, I'm pregnant and currently working two jobs while trying to homeschool my 9-year-old. I'm so exhausted most mornings, especially with my chronic illness, that I'm lucky to sit and read a chapter in the Bible with her and pray. I try to make that priority daily, but there's a day or two here and there that we miss. My husband has not been well mentally, and is often too exhausted or unwell physically to want to get into a study or family worship also. So right now we're just reading the Bible as a family once a week. As long as we keep trying that's what matters.
Praying for your family and especially your husband. Do you have elders at your church? Do they know of your need? They must be included, shepherding your husband and family.
My mental health is often impacted negatively by NOT being in Scripture Daily. I understand the exhaustion of modern life.... however, we have phones who have the YouVersion app.... we no longer have to read Scripture, we can listen to entire books of the Bible while doing the dishes!
How can I purchase the "Family Worship Bible Guide" mentioned in the video? I am thoroughly enjoying these teachings!! My family, in my home, is currently my wife and me. However, I believe this material will be greatly beneficial to our 7 adult children and 17 grandchildren!! Thank you!

I wouldn't blame the economy, but everyone's situation is different and people will prioritise different things in their lives in what is important.
