I have a Hoya latifolia which was a one leaf unrooted cutting about three years ago it took over a year to produce a second leaf. I got the cutting from Thailand. In the past year it took off and now has ten leaves and the largest measures 5 inches by 9 inches. It is my favorite Hoya. Thanks for your info.
Strangely all the Hoyas you’ve featured so far have been my favourites and some on my most wanted list. You have great taste. Good to finally have care information on these Hoyas which is rare to come by on TH-cam.
That is great to hear! I usually go for Hoyas with beautiful foliage in case they never bloom 😂 But I will choose sometimes some that have beautiful flowers that I know shouldn't be too difficult to bloom.

It is soooo pretty!!!!!!! Im torn between this and Sarawak. I don’t know which one to buy. Do you have a Sarawak? which one do you find easier to care?
How do you know? It was sold to me as Hoya latifolia. I cannot say whether it is latifolia or loyceandrewsiana. I will have to wait for flowers. Even then, I won't be able to confirm the ID unless I can check it with someone who has detailed photos of the flower (and close ups of corona and corola). If you have seen other 30 Days of Hoya, you will see there is Hoya macrophylla (the one with variegated leaves) Guess what? That is in fact a latifolia, not macrophylla 😂 It was sold to me as macrophylla and that plant goes around as macrophylla but I sent detailed pictures of the flowers (close ups of corona and corola, side view, top view, back view) to Torill and she compared them with the ones in her documentation and it is in fact latifolia. After that I decided never to ID hoya again haha. Anyways, I wouldn't say based on the leaves this is latifolia or loyceandrewsiana, I will wait for flowers. Until then I will keep the latifolia tag just because it was sold under that name but of course I will change it if it's wrong. Even Doug Chamberlain, and he have a huuuge loyce! I asked him and he knows the issue, he knows he have loyceandrewsiana BUT he still chooses to name it latifolia! I am trying to fix the misnamed hoya loyce when I see it (it's my all time fav hoya) 😅

I don't have the one they call sp. Sarawak that looks similar to this one. It is too expensive, so I would go for this one :)

Ah, confusion with hoya names is real. :/ I wish we had correct IDs on all of them!
