"Il ponte di Leonardo" (Da Vinci's Bridge) is a reference to a bridge that Leonardo da Vinci designed in 1502. It was supposed to be the longest bridge of that time and to span the Bosporus strait and thus link Europe and Asia. So much like that bridge, the music here wishes to build a bridge between Europe (Italy) and Asia (Persia).
