Whenever "best NES music" comes up in a conversation, I always direct people to Sunsoft. Even Fester's Quest - that overworld theme really slaps. But I especially bring up Silius.

Its good, but it leaves something to be desired. Compare to the original. I was hoping they would do the part after the singing, which is at the end of the original tune. It doesn't sound close enough to the original, and and they could've done that one epic part even with singing that drives it home.
I really want to like this one...the instrumental part is solid gold, but it bothers me that the lyrics don't really have anything to do with the subject matter of the game. I also think the slower sections that emphasize the vocals detract from the track overall; to me they sound corny and unnecessary. Changing the slower sections so they had more instrumentation and limiting the vocals to the faster-paced sections with electric guitar would have been better. Another option would have been making the lyrics more interesting by writing them so that they reflected the actual game (i.e., blowing up killer robots) instead.
This is one of the few times i actually enjoyed vocals on a song that didn't have them before. it just fits perfectly with the vibe
I was *NOT* expecting that. Dude, imagine some of the greatest retro games re-released w/ remixes like this 😵😵 Thank you, subbed! 👌👌
Yeah, Journey to Silius' music, and Sunsoft games' music in general, doesn't get as much recognition as it really should.

Love this! Eh, at least until the vocals dropped.
Usually I dislike vocals unless they're perfect. But this one has a catchy eurobeat vibe to it at least.
The singing is fine, but it doesn't keep to the original tune as much as it needed to. They don't do the end part at all.
