Love this guy. He can sit on a panel show, say nothing for twenty minutes and then come out with the funniest line or observation in the whole show. Silent assassin.

I remember him on the shows: Friday's, SNL and Not Necessarily the News.
Rich Hall quote: "The first time I came to the Comedy Festival some nutcase shot a bunch of people in Tasmania. I thought, 'Oh, that's just Tasmania.' The second time I came, some nut shot up Columbine High School. Now I'm here again, and another nut just shot up a high school in Minnesota. If you can't see the connection between me playing the Comedy Festival and mass murder, you're no good at conspiracy theories."

I remember seeing David Cross live at a comedy festival I was doing in the mid-2000s. *So* many people were shouting Arrested Development quotes at him he couldn't finish a sentence. It was frustrating AF.
And Jesus, his description of U.S. comedy clubs is making me not want to get back out there to do shows.

Since I started watching British television program(me)s on TH-cam, I've wondered how Rich Hall ended up in the UK. I'm pretty sure I still have my sniglets books around here somewhere. I think they worked better as a segment on Not Necessarily the News than they did as books, but you can only take that shtick so far.

@@bombercountyblues At least James Corden isn't just another poor imitation of Johnny Carson's interview style. He's a poor imitation of Graham Norton's interview style.
I pretty much stopped watching late night TV after Craig Ferguson went off the air, and I've never really had occasion to see anything with Simon Cowell or Piers Morgan, so I guess I'm lucky.

I was in worse shape in my 20s than I am now - neither is great admittedly, but to let yourself go you have to have something to let go of. The consensus is I have improved. But again, that's not really a compliment.
