    I think this is wonderful. I pray that my students can be THAT QUIET as I speak. These behaviors are night and day, you clearly have a grasp on the different builds in your lesson. Calm demeanor and consistent check in’s are key! Great job bro!

      Appreciate that! I've been at my school for 13 years, so that helps - building relationships and culture takes time for sure. Also, I have bad days too :-)

    Brilliant. Would have never thought about using random items to strike a balloon. The noodles look really challenging, and the students look motivated to succeed. Thanks for sharing!

      Sure thing, it's funny to hear the kids discuss which was harder vs easier, some would say yes, some would say no, but I agree noodle is the hardest.

    Great watching you teach. I’m a PE coach too here in Houston for last 12 years. I have a coaching partner and together we have 45-60 students per class. I came to up on your class through a search because I’m looking for online PE classes as a model because during this covid situation we don’t know what next school year will bring. Such a great coach. Trying to come up with some effective techniques to teach skills based on state objectives for PE in a remote/video format is going to prove frustrating but I’m determined. I saw some of your other videos about field day etc. great job man!

      Appreciate that man! I'm finishing up year 13, so I'm right there with you. Glad it's been helpful and I agree - remote teaching is super frustrating, I can't wait to get back in my gym with the kiddos.

    One thing I mostly agrees and learned in this video is to set our own goals to challenge ourselves because if I don’t challenge myself I feel like a loser and I feel like I’m wasting my time but thanks for that simple quote ;D

    So weird to see a video from February 2020. Right before the world fell apart!
    Anyway, i plan to try this with my grades 1 and 2 this week! Thanks for all the great content!

    Can you do a video on the Specific differences between a class room teacher and a PE teacher. Different schedules, expectations, and so on.

      That would be cool - I'll think about what that would look like

    Where do they put the other balloon while doing the partner challenge?

    • @ThePESpecialist
      @ThePESpecialist  ปีที่แล้ว

      They can just toss it to the side on the wall or if you want to have a bucket that's fine too

    Did you use the same stations for K and 1st and just lower the number of hits?

    Are those latex free balloons? I wanted to do something similar but I had several latex allergies at my school and I couldn’t find any latex regular balloons.

    • @ThePESpecialist
      @ThePESpecialist  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope, we don't have any latex allergies... but maybe having the allergic student wear some latex free gloves would work?

    I’m thinking about becoming a PE teacher and I know the pay isn’t super. How much would being a 3 season coach ( XC, Track, track) add to the salary?

      Google "Salary Schedule + The name of the school district you want to work in" - Salaries vary by state and school district

    How hard would it be to find a career as a phys Ed teacher with a degree in exercise science?

    • @ThePESpecialist
      @ThePESpecialist  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably just depends on where you are, you'll need a teacher certification in most states, but there are alternative certifications in most places so you wouldn't need to go back to school if you don't want to
