Recently got back into fishing and got my entire gear from Temu , I’ve probably spent a good 5-600 dollars on there, I’ve had some misses but most of that stuff is pretty good!
I live in South Africa and have bought a lot of fishing tackle from Temu. I must say that i am impressed with the tackle, especially the wopper ploppers and weighted spring hooks. Caught a nice 5 pound bass on a wopper plopper last weekend. Some damage to the back hook but was cheap to replace. EXTREMELY well priced compared to prices in South African shops.
I agree,temu is my go to for most of my fishing tackle no complaints the baitcasters i got are very good dont know if my arm can handle that wrist reel great video great temu products
I may have to give Temu a try, with a gift card. I absolutely am not going to give them my real credit card or debit card information. That baitcaster looked pretty cool and seemed to work well. I bought a very cheap reel off Amazon, called the Magic Soul. It was on a deal for 13 bucks. I bought 4 of them. I gave away 3 to my friends as gifts. I will say, it feels fantastic. I have only minor backlashed 1 time. It feels like my older Curado when I use it. I put it on a St Croix rod. Im sure that reel he bought would feel just as nice. Now the pocket fisherman, sounded clanky AF , hard pass on that..
Shimano slx or slx xt on sale and a ark catalyzer rod. Reel is 99$ for the slx and the slx xt can be found for around that and up to 130$. The ark catalyzer is normally 60$, 30 ton blank and true to power/action. You can sometimes get 3 ark catalyzer rods for 99$ as well.
@@LukeGushman you're welcome. I like to test gear and I build all my combos as cheap as possible but still with the best bang for your buck deals. You can also get a lews speed spool lfs or gen 3 for 80ish to 99$. They are solid work horse reels. This time of year there's a lot of good black friday sales going on.
Logan, i am just too scared to buy a no-name baitcaster like that Sougayilang. I would rather spend a bit more and buy Shimano, Abu Garcia or other name brands. I know Seasir makes excellent reels though.

Temu has let me down the last couple times. The stuff I got wasn't made right ans was unusable a Gym bag and a guitar bag. Watch buying anything like that sewed together not put together correctly..
