Well done. A great skill that most of the divers I’ve been with haven’t really had explained so well.

It takes time to gain your buoyancy! And that is okay. It is a journey, enjoy the learning experience 😎

Can you give an example on how to breathe? I can't find a video on TH-cam on what the breaths should look like.

Breath like you would breath on land. The trick is to forget you are breathing from a cylinder. I know this is difficult at first 🤣🤪! The more you dive, the more you begin to use your lungs to control your buoyancy. Inflating your lungs (breathing in) is like inflating your BCD. Deflating your lungs (breathing out) is like deflating your BCD. The more you dive, the more breathing becomes second nature. It is not really something you van teach. You must feel for yourself. I will make a video soon discussing the lungs and breathing underwater.

@@SCUBAAMY Awesome thanks! An example of someone just taking breaths in front of the camera may be helpful for other beginners. Thanks again!

I was taught to use my lungs 1st, that is not correct. You need to get neutral and relax your breathing. When I did that my sac rate when in half. I now average .3-.4 rmv.
I like your good break down of the skill.

Thanks Mike! The way we use our lungs underwater can definitely make all the difference. They are magical!

I like the way you explain each skill. You should cover all 25 skills which would be handy but you missed move like a sloth out of this one 😂

Hi Graham! Thanks for your comment 😊 I will hopefully get to cover all the skills once everything opens up again 😂😂😂 I am happy you noticed this! Become the sloth!
