i absolutely LUV the oboe's sound as both a former woodwind musician and a singer. the sound it's capable of is spectacular!!! i for one had no idea that such a classical musical instrument could do jazz and how happy i was to find this piece. it's AWESUM!!!
I realize this is YEARS old now but WOW this is so nice to hear the Oboe played as a jazz instrument. Perhaps it always was but I never heard it. Thanks for sharing!

Please tell me what you were using and were you using any effects on your sound or is this your natural oboe tone? You are phenomenal and I am your new biggest fan! There are times when the oboe has a real trumpet quality to it, but richer. This was very nice to listen to. So so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Oboe is Soprano Sax's twin! Their tones are so similar.
Literally it’s just a more graceful sounding than the soprano sax. Soprano sax has some more attitude
