Awesome! Thanks Walter! For me, experienced with three different products (I work as a professional pilot and my company has used two of the other products at work) I prefer and use iFly EFB in my GA aircraft. I have a thousand hours in flight with iFly EFB and it has been rock solid. In fact, I keep iFly EFB running on my iPad even while the jet I am flying is using installed and paid for products.
Wasn't able to do the "Live" Zoom session, but this was helpful having it available on TH-cam. As a "Rusty Pilot" working on getting my SI 3rd Class and fly again, one primary concern is the cost of all things aviation. iFly is a very cost effective alternative to ForeFlight. ForeFlight might be a bit more "slick and professional" but it also requires a not so cost effective iOS device to run. My thought is that for most GA pilots iFly is all they need. iFly runs on my 5 year old Android Tablet, although a bit slow at some features like "Real Plan" it works well.
I Was subscriber to IFlyGPS for probably 5 years and used as a planner (not as an inflight) EFB. Had there been a way to use a map display other than the VFR chart (I am a VFR pilot - have been for 42 years), I would still be using and as an inflight EFB also. But I vastly prefer the cleaner look on the EFB of the competition. I discussed several times with staff that always sounded sympathetic to my wishes - so I would renew my subscription. But it never materialized (to my knowledge), so I went elsewhere.
Hello, we're sorry about the cursor being small and hard to follow. We'll make sure to make this easier to follow for future workshops. Thanks for your feedback.
