It is larger than accra. The population is almost the same as Accra. Just some 5-10% difference.
@clement Asampana Clement interms of land size Greater Kumasi metropolitan is bigger Than Accra. You Google the area size of Kumasi and also Google Accra the area size , then compare . Interms of Population , Accra is bigger than Kumasi.
@clement Asampana Accra is smallest region in Ghana, so how can Accra be biggest than Kumasi . The Whole Greater Accra is approximately four million and the whole region of Ashanti is approximately six million. If Interms of Population, Accra is little bit densely populated than Kumasi metropolitan.( About five percent (5%) densely populated than Kumasi. Even at as now Kumasi metropolitan area is Ghana's densely populated right now. You can check on Google .( Kumasi right now is 4million but the not the whole Ashanti.

Accra is bigger than Kumasi ... Majority of greater Accra region is made up of Accra while in Ashanti region .. there is Kumasi ,Kumawu, Abuakwa,Ejisu etc

Kumasi to me is much calmer, cleaner and better organised than Accra. I love both cities for different things but I think kumasi is a nicer place to live.

Kumasi appears better planned and liveable compared to Accra. My opinion though. Beautiful place.
Kumasi is an ancient and royal city ooooh, and Accra Ghana capital city was just built by the colonial era and you can see the difference.💚💛🖤
