Using it to retrain the brain after having a stroke, it was learning to juggle or Rc helicopters as they involve both sides of the brain at once, I think RC Helis more fun so really learning to fly and rebuild haha. fun all round. thanks again for the flight.
No metal main gears!!! They are made to strip when something goes wrong, otherwise you risk tearing up ALOT of other stuff. It's the same logic behind using plastic servo arms instead of metal.. the plastic gives way before you take out alot of other parts....

The issue is with the air frame main rotor shaft support. It doesn't take much to fracture the main frame at this weak point. Look carefully and you will see a crack traveling vertically down from the upper main-shaft bearing boss, more easily seen if you remove the servos. Walkera should offer a revised air frame or an add-on support which could be installed by simply removing the rotor and swash plate assembly.
It is 2,5 year later after this vid. You still think it is an ok 450 heli? I'm considering it. It is afforable and probably good enough for standard easy sports flying. No 3D stuff.

I Need some help. I bought one(450do3) and It was flying great. The next time I flew it, had a tendency to tilt forward and not take off. Got it to take off but it nosed first into the grass. Think I stripped the gears and have too much play in the main shaft. the motor spins, but not the main gears for the blades. Can you help. Teacher.

As a beginner, i dont have any idea why the heli is not flying proper and go to left and up with very minor throttle. I got a hard landing after few seconds of take off in a very first flight. Hey Ali, hi there. Take a look on the mai frame beneath the bearings, structure there is very weak. It cracks very easily.

Also.. flies pretty big for a 450...maybe the servos are just a tad slow? But flies like a 500...
When did you start flying RC, how old where you when you started?
