Crazy to think there’s those people who are all, “Hector why do you keep people like Nick on the team? They do nothing” etc etc.
As if they never heard of having a close friend, or family. But I can’t blame them for thinking that way though, I mean how fucking rare is it to see a millionaire businessman, actually care about his “employees”.
Being an addict causes anxiety because you know you’re letting everyone down... it’s a vicious cycle. You self medicate to escape reality, then you feel worse . Then you get clean and all the anxiety and depression gets worse, then you need to medicate to cope and you’re back on the merry go round. Good luck, one day at a time. It gets easier even though it’s torture. Eventually you realize that the torture of sobriety is way better than the torture of addiction.

I have an almost identical story to yours, in college I started to spiral out of control with adderall and was taking upwards of 100+mg daily -- it takes a lot of courage to share stuff like that man. Big props

it says a lot about the state that nick is in right now that he's able to be this open about his struggles, it shows a lot of progress. most people have a hard time talking about it unless they're really thru a lot of it. happy that he got the help he needed and seems to be doing A LOT better. props to this man for getting his life back in his own hands, i can personally say when drugs take control of your life, you lose a lot of things and people you love and that only makes the dependency for the drug that much worse.

I woke up today feeling shitty, I've had depression for years and today I just woke up with no desire to face the day. I put this on while in bed and just hearing someone else talk about their issues gave me the drive to get up and be productive. Helping people by talking about this doesn't always mean stopping someone from addiction, it can be in the form of a little kick up the ass to stop wallowing and get on with it. I'm going through my own shit right now and it's been really hard to function in daily life. I also have someone close to me going through really hard stuff so it's nice having Maniac explain his side of his struggles but also Hitch describing how worried he's been seeing his friend/brother going through that. This is speaking to me on so many levels and I praise both of you for being honest and sharing this conversation. It means a lot to me personally and I really hope you're all doing okay.

Bro I’ve been following optic since the move in day at 6050 and remember when you first moved in/halo team was created. I have so many flash backs of you at the scuff house all addied out and knew you were withdrawing every time you were zombie mode for weeks on end. This one, this one hurts. I was in the hospital for a little over a month and when he was describing rehab and the things they did it really hit hard. It’s constant purgatory and you’re kinda helpless to it all. Im slowly getting better now that I’m discharged but I’m glad you’re doing much better. Much love 🤙🏾

Was clean for over 3 years too before 2020 and I've ruined my life again. Can definitely relate my man. Thanks for sharing your story it takes a lot of strength, and with your status probably helps a lot of people. 1 day at a time. Wish I could go back to rehab but can't afford it. You're the man.

I went through the exact same fucking thing. Same. I’m 24 years old. Adderall kicked my ass with my addictiveness and then Ativan kicked my ass. I Was hospitalized 3 times from it. I’m 3 years sober from both of them. They disgust me now. People really don’t know how bad adderal or benzos r when put in the wrong hands. Much respect for coming out and talking about it man. Little late on watching this, just checked out the channel but I'm glad you are back. I'm going through a similar situation, with having abused Xanax, marijuana and other things for an escape. I especially relate on the ghosting part as I've done and still been doing to this day. I've been clean from everything for two months now and relate to how becoming sober is only a small part of the journey. Dealing with the anxiety, and the other stuff that it can bring is a whole other thing. Hearing you talk about this so publicly will definitely have an impact on a lot of people like myself. I’m a nurse at an inpatient unit for mental health and my work environment sounds very similar to this detox center. It’s very eye opening to hear from someone that’s been there and how they actually feel. I’m glad everything’s going better and you’re okay❤️

Really glad to hear you’ve gotten clean. I just lost one of best friends over the summer due to Xanax. He OD’d 2 times in 48 hours and about a month later he OD’d a third time and never came back. Shit completely changed him the last year I knew him. Stay positive man and stay surrounded by love.

I suffered for a long time with a reclusive cocaine addiction, I would go to work and come home and spend all my money on cocaine to distract myself from everything else in my life. I lost friends, family and jobs because of it and wish I could help people more now. I’m 2 years out from it and will never go back. I know how hard it is to get help and I’m glad you had all the right people around you! So much respect for you dude and wish you all the best with your future endeavours!
SO glad u came out and said all this man. I’m 28 and I’ve been addicted to Xanax multiple times (10 bars a day in 2020),pure cocaine in 2016-2018, and opioids have been a non stop think since I was 17. I’ve had friends die and all that but somehow I’ve kept things together ok but it’s obviously had a big negative toll on me. I never even saw it in u bro I thought u probably just smoked weed. I went back and watched that trivia video and could 4sure see it in your eyes 👀 but it wasn’t that bad with the edits I’m sure 😂.
