    Thanks for the review. I recently purchased the same compressor from SprayGunner. You mentioned that your fan is on all the time once you turn on the power strip, I checked mine and it only comes on when I turn on the air compressor and for the most part it is virtually silent, you definitely do not hear it over the compressor motor. The one thing I have noticed is that air bleeds down fairly rapidly once the tank is full and the airbrush is just sitting there not being used. I checked the unit when it arrived and it does shut off but then in a short time kicks on again. I'm using a 1/4" quick disconnect coupling on the compressor end and a quick change coupling on the airbrush end. The setup involves a lot of separate pieces and I think that is where I am losing air. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the unit. I was using it today, Createx paint and about 50% reducer and it did a reasonably good job of blowing paint with minimal tip dry, and of course it ran pretty much continuously for over an hour. But, I must say, it stayed reasonably cool, the fan definitely makes a difference. Thanks again and happy painting.

      Hi Greg. Yes, the fan on my unit runs all the time, as soon as you plug it in. Mine was one of the first runs of this unit so you must have a newer version since they fixed this on the next run.
      Mine still works great and yeah, it never gets hot. Thanks for watching.

      IF you are handy, the fan's power connections "could" be wired directly to the AC input terminals so the top cylinder fan would run as soon as it is plugged in. I ordered the same unit from big A and I plan on wiring the fan in the same manner, if it is possible.... Just makes sense to keep that puppy cool all the time, even when not pumping air....

    damn that's really quiet, I can use this in my apartment I guess? I don't want to disturb my neighbors, I'll probably make a booth in my balcony so I don't get paint in my house
    I'm still scared about the neighbors LOL

    Interesting db reading on the cool tooty. The website advertises 40db. My Makita shop compressor is only at 58db.

      Thanks for watching. I only had a DB app on my cell phone, not sure how accurate it is but it was good as a reference. Have a great day.

    Got one from Airgoo it's also branded AG-426 so it makes me believe it's the same compressor as the spraygunner one. But the fan placement is weird for some reason it's placed near the piston and doesn't look like it's able to pull air. I don't really feel any air coming from the vents near the power switch either. So yeah it gets really hot after a while... probably not the same one after all, lol

      I can feel the airflow on mine, and it never runs hot. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend 👍

    Maybe a good upgrade would be a thermal switch so the fan only runs when it’s needed.

      Great suggestion, I may give that a try. that said, based on my observations, it will never get hot enough to turn it on. 😁Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great day.

    Very interesting video. I probably discovered the same product under a different name ("Airgoo Luxus Airbrush Kompressor AG-426 mit Supermacht Lüfter und Lufttank") and without the "NO NAME" sticker at Amazon Germany and for the price I probably can't go wrong as a beginner. 🙂

      Yes, this compressor is still working great! One of the best investments I've made. Thanks for watching and have a great week.

    Decibels are on a Log scale, what this means is that an increase in 30 dB results in an increase of sound power of x300 or it is 300 times louder. A dB rating of 99 is the threshold of pain in human hearing.
    Nice review

    • @PlasticImaginationWorkshop
      @PlasticImaginationWorkshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting, thanks for that. One thing is for sure, this new compressor is way less of a pain... Have a great day.

    • @prettydivx
      @prettydivx 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nop not working like that it double only every 3 db , so 30db is 2^(30/3)=2^10 = 1024 time louder. and human threshold is 115db

      @@prettydivx Your math is not how Logarithmic scales work.

    Good review and I agree items from China can be good if there is good QC I have the same kit minus the cooling fan at the top the last one I bought from China lasted me wait for it 25 years I personal don't think you need that cooling fan at the top as it wont be running all the time in access of an hour or more regarding your older model coming on late at night I always switch mine off then bleed the tank so to be ready for the next morning thanks for the review👍

    Spray gunner rates the noise level at 47 decibels

    Hi I have a question Does this compressor come with 1/8" hose connection ?

    • @PlasticImaginationWorkshop
      @PlasticImaginationWorkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It just comes with the male end right off of the moisture trap. I think it'a 1/8 but not sure. Otherwise, it does not come with any connectors, you will have to supply your own or get adapters. I hope this helps. Have a great day.
