I remember going to Wayne Minor Projects for the first time, I was 11years old and just moved to KC from Louisville, Kentucky. It was a scary looking place to be at night. The high risers looked spooked. The stories I heard about a pregnant woman that got stabed and thrown down the garbage shoot from the 15th floor. I knew a white man named Steve who use to come on my block on 29th Highland and shot up boy & girl was found in a dumpster, his body was sit on fire 🔥 as I became a teenager I would walk to Wayne Minor Projects and party with the project brother's and sister's, going from one high riser to the next having he'll of fun.
Yo I remember going underneath the crawl space at Wayne minor and re doing the duct work just so we got heat when the neighbors turned their heat on.
That boy tech took me back a minute with this 1.

When people asked me where I'm from when I lived in Vegas I said Missouri and they said was I from St.Louis or Columbia I asked why they didn't say Kansas City and they said its in Kansas I had to tell them that Kansas City is also in Missouri and when you go to the tourist area your in Missouri since KCM was the original and years after KCM KCK was made

I grew up 1 block off Troost on the "black people" side, so I know that one block off Troost on what we call the "white people" side is way different.
