Just a reminder that Matt at 8:58 isn't obligated to attempt to put any dinosaurs onto the battlefield if the prospect is to get them exiled. He could happily just have kept it back and just put it on the bottom of his library. It appears the game happened late in the evening but I didn't get why Matt didn't snuff the Viscera Seer with that Insult // Injury he had lying in his graveyard at 13:30. At least it would stop the instant enabler of Grave Pact and allow Matt to stick a creature to the board instead of that Kindred Boon that wouldn't help at all.
8:24 Grave Pact only triggers off creatures dying = put into the graveyard from the battlefield. Commanders don't die when they return to the command zone instead. So only 1 trigger this case.
I freaking love Tana and her combat tricks!!! She is such a fun commander! Also, I like the Tymna partner combo, Viscera Seer was so good with the token/gravepact combo! Love it! A little sad that Trevor had to scoop at the end, but all good things must end I suppose.

Why does clever impersonator get zacama's untap trigger? When trevor casts the card it isn't zacama so i thought that when it enters the battlefield, the "if you cast it" trigger would notice that clever impersonator was cast and not zacama. I had a similar thing come up in a game I played recently. Any help?
Mintaray Clever impersonator enters the battlefield as a copy of zacama. Checks to see if it was cast from his hand and the untap trigger of zacama happens. Note that triggered abilities use words like "when," "whenever," and "at." Clever Impersonator does not use any of these words, so nothing "triggers" to make it a copy of the creature (a triggered ability would cause a delay between entering the battlefield and it becoming a copy). So in this case it was played correctly as zacsmas ability checks to see if it was cast from his hand (which it was). Hope this clarifies it for you :)
It is not the same kind of trigger though. The Titans trigger when they are on the stack. Zacama triggern on ETB and if you cast it from the hand both of which are true for a cast cloning creature on him

I play Gishath myself and I would strongly advise Matt the following: - Less protection and more interaction: you may remove rootborn defenses, swiftfoot boots, kindred boon, even ascetism and add austere command, scour from existence, song of the dryads, beast within and strip mine. - Less non dino/small creatures and more big dino/ramp: remove knight of the stampede, forerunner of the empire, kinjalli’s caller, otepec huntmaster, siegehorn ceratops and add tauren mauler, ranging raptors, thrashing brontodon, chameleon colossus, the new territorial allosaurus, Xenagos God, Thran dynamo, nature’s lore and triumph of the hordes.
I feel you on the mana screw problem, Muddstah. I was playing a game on Saturday with my G/B Glissa deck, and I kept a hand with a basic, a bounceland, and Top. Cue seven turns of drawing cards 5+ cmc. =___=
Pretty sad that Trevor didn't stay for the rest of the game. He always has crazy synergy and very powerful cards in his decks, so I have a feeling that he could've come back and won this game even though he only had 4 life left. Oh well, over all it was a great game!

That was very unlucky not getting any land during that game. This being said, Derevi is color hungry, I would cut the reliquary tower. Not too sure why you didn't counter the original Zacama instead of the copy though.

32 lands is absurdly low count if you are not playing weenie or tons of fast manarocks (of which you only have sol ring). So I guess you should not be that surprised for that mana screw.
I agree, but the dorks synergize better with Derevi and Edric. The list still is a bit of a work in progress. I don't get to play it much since people don't like Derevi, haha!

Gishath is dino daddy because of how well he works with dinosaur tribal. Zacama isn't really as good as a dinosaur tribal so he is maybe dino grandfather who is always yelling at kids to get off of his lawn.

adam roy Highly advise against cutting Reliquary Tower in a blue deck especially.
Out of all EDH decks that I play, blue ones, especially Derevi, need the tower the most :)
No hand size limit is a strong ability, but being able to cast your cards is even stronger imo.

The dryad arbor should've been up front with the other creatures. All creatures regardless of other types are supposed to be in front of your lands.

I’ve been trying to build a cycling partner deck, using Kydele and either Tymna or Ravos but I’m not sure which is better to be honest.
The Locust God I would say Tymna, the draw helps you get more cycling.

Other way around. It's a triggered effect that checks whether the spell was cast when it entered.
