Finally I get to see a Yidris deck function properly. It’s usually mana screwed or kept in check by everyone else. I hope it was fun for the players because I definitely enjoyed watching.

At 3:36 Harry cascades into spring to mind, which while not on the stack has a cmc of 9(since the ruleschange with amonket). Am I correct in thinking that this is a small mistake or did i misunderstand the rulesinteraction?
its an easy mistake to make, the split card rules were only changed about a year ago so most of us have been playing with the old cascade into split card rules for much longer.
Hartley Nauss Absolutly true. It's just that there are a lot of us watching, so we together form a really good Judge for magic, even though a lot of us (including me) aren't real judges.

As a locust god player, winning the game with any less than 25 bugs on the board is a travesty.
Per the rulings on Gatherer, I was under the assumption that we could chose not to: 10/1/2005 When the ability resolves, the player copies all cards exiled with Eye of the Storm, not just the cards he or she owns. That player then chooses which of those copies to cast, if any. All chosen copies are cast in the order the player chooses.
Kid you not, I was literally JUST watching the Locust God vs Neheb vs Trostani vs Heliod game from a month ago, and was about to watch the Locust God vs Ruhan vs Merieke vs Karlov from two months ago, when behold, a Locust God vs Yidris vs Marchesa vs Gishath from 16 minutes ago appeared!
Just had a trippy moment when the Gishath player didn't untap his lands after Zacama came down. It wasn't until I thoroughly read the card that I realised it is basically an on cast trigger, not simply an enter the battlefield one. Looking back, there have been a couple of major misplays in past games when I've gone against this deck!
Considering I'm posting this long after release I doubt you'll see it, but if you're gonna keep doing themed fights, you should do an Ice Age block fight after Dominaria hits. It'd be Jodah, Jaya, Mairsil, and any of the other important characters in the plot, like Freyalise, Ith, or even double down on Mairsils by doing Lim-Dul or (kind of) Lord of Tresserhorn!
This is how Yidris SHOULD be played. It is chaos incarnate. It doesn't matter if you win as long as you do crazy things or if you are the reason other people are doing crazy things. It even functions sort of like a group hug deck. You allow other people to draw cards with wheels and play additional lands with Rites Of Flourishing while also taking advantage of that.
I opened this video expecting a boring game because of Marchesa and Gishath but Yidris more than made up for it with Eye of the Storm. I love that card.
What a crazy game, I wish you would have slowed down a little bit once you started taking off though because it started becoming difficult to follow along with all the cards being played

probably the first game where the Locust God player wasn't immediately focused down because everyone else had explosive openers. Which is a lesson to the viewers that this is why, no matter what, you should always focus down the Locust God player because otherwise *that* happens.
Hi I was wondering why when gishath was attacking, a card that make it untapped prevent it from attacking when a google said “Once an attacker is declared, it is attacking. Tapping or untapping it after it has been declared as an attacker will have no effect on that.” Thanks!

Plus, technically he bought a favor from Harry. Important for Group Hug role he seemed to craft this game. I could defend it.

I just a simple tripod and a selfie stick. I angle the top part of the tripod so it would be parallel, stick the selfie stick to it, and stick the camera to that.
And while he could not win then my guess is Harry cast the Eye because with R.I.P. out it was his only chance to spell sling as he recurs and recasts which he otherwise was unable to do. It was high risk but what else could he do?
Didn't end up mattering, but curious why you never cast Blasphemous Act during the turn you went off. It would have killed Gishath and you had no creatures in play when that turn began.
Question, ive been told that when one wheels with a pyschosis crawler, since there is a point between the discard and the draw where you have no cards, wouldnt the crawler die of 0 toughness?
I stink at explaining it, so I found this: "No. State-based actions are not checked until a player receives priority, which is after Wheel of Fortune is done resolving. Note that this is different from triggered abilities - they can and do trigger in the middle of other things resolving."
Love the channel and videos! I notice small mistakes here and there in certain videos (not complaining) have you ever thought of having a judge watch you guys play while you record?
There aren't really all that many judges who frequent the store. Pat who played Glint-Eye is one, but his schedule doesn't allow him to be at the store often.
I significantly prefer this format to The Command Zone's. The dialogue and laughter all seems really forced over there and honestly just makes it unenjoyable IMO.
I really dislike players playing stax just for the heck of it. Stax is a great strategy if you have a way of locking down the board and a consistent way of closing out the game. Ryan had neither.
If there was a storm deck, stax deck, flash hulk deck or a "lands on front but has no good combos" deck at the table... lands on front you gonna get knocked out first.

I just mean that not every dino is worth the spot... More cards like aurelia are Waaaaay more important... e.g. world at war, aggravated assault and gratuitous violence
Also, using cards that manipulate the top of library more. I know budget may be a concern, but cards like Scroll Rack are amazing in cheating out Dino’s and making sure you hit your land drops/spells

Wouldn't Harry have been able to cascade twice off the Bloodbraid Elf?
No. Yidris only gives additional cascades to cards played from hand, and the Bloodbraid Elf came from the top of his library.

RTFC on mystic remora harry- its target opponent. Not everyone. Seen a lot of cheaters at my LGS try that with the fish.
The card has been errata'd to be the following:
"Whenever an opponent casts a noncreature spell, you may draw a card unless that player pays 4."
