European will never admit that that's their fault. They will say that's your fault being divided. First thing first, who divided them in the first place?
It isnt just Europe's fault. Theres no way the U.S didn't know what was going on, we have our noses in everything else. I truly grieve for these people and thats saying something.
The French colonialists , as did did the British, pursued a policy of “divide and rule”,that created deep fissures and antipathy between tribes and ethnicities that had coexisted side by side for centuries or more . While winding down their colonial enterprise , under force of circumstances , they contrived to leave behind a set up , manned by their ‘dependable’, local collaborators , who would continue to watch over the ‘interests’ of their erstwhile masters . However the toxic ,divisive , legacies left behind by the colonialists remained in place and even morphed into multiple expressions of mutual mistrust and hatred .The rapid accretion of real or perceived grievances was bound to act as a detonator for a gruesome and bloody carnage that the Rwandan genocide is . In this tragic backdrop, the role of the French state/government remains highly suspect and blameworthy . As former colonialists they were morally bound to play their part in defusing tensions, which they themselves had created . With a large diplomatic mission and a sizeable military presence in the wider region , it is inconceivable that they did not have ,even an inkling , of the trouble as it was brewing up . That they gave scarce attention to that ominous possibility and even failed to intervene when the killings were going on is a bruising indictment of their role in this most sordid episode of history .
As a human being, I see that you are wishing harm and evil upon people no matter if they are guilty or not, no matter if they are innocent or women/children. I sincerely hope you change your ways and I also sincerely hope you are visited with the Karma you deserve yourself.
Who are "they"? Europe? The western world? White people? Americans? It's easy to point fingers and put blame on someone who has nothing to do with it, if it happened it's sad and from all the neighbouring countries who is the first to help? You should look to those instead
@@Cloud-dq1mr Clinton knew while it was happening. During this period, officials at the US embassy in Kampala knew that weapons were crossing the border, and the CIA knew that the rebels’ growing military strength was escalating ethnic tensions within Rwanda to such a degree that hundreds of thousands of Rwandans might die in widespread ethnic violence.
Yes they have not committed the atrocities of their forefathers but it is right to be ashamed of what their forefathers have done and if they were ashamed they would try to do something to make up for it, no one is accusing them of what happened but even children(adult) can be ashamed of their parents if they have done something shameful and apologise on their behalf even do somthing if they can.
divided using reeducation camps on my predecessors and creating the identity of metis to destabilize the nation for global colonization. These business folk dont care about the citizens
I wanna asking why Nato see genocide in Ugoslavia and bring all what's happening there in all TV around the world.. Start war to stop it.. But what's happening in Rwanda nobody see no mether that there die extremely much, much, much people in absolutely brutal way..
Hi friend, I'm sad about what happend too. But I want to know in which way did any neighbouring African country help? Or any African country at all? When you are asking questions, i think you should ask those questions. Not "why didnt those people from the other side of the world just willingly help us?"
The ongoing genocide in Palestine/Gaza , which the Congress (beholden to the Israeli lobby)in an ultimate sadistic irony declared as an attack by the (besieged , beleaguered )Palestinians on Israel and it’s people , closing their eyes to the staggering disparity in casualties and the sheer and lopsided advantage that Israel has in terms of weaponry and resources .What’s true of the Congress is true of the US establishment generally and an odd voice which dares to call out Israel for it’s brutal atrocities is forthwith branded as anti-Semitic , and faces assault from all sides , with death threats and other social and financial overtures .
The poor get killed like flies(no reminders , no days of remembrance , no museums for them)and become just statistics ; while the rich and “powerful”thrust their tragedies down your throats and make sure that there are no memory lapses on your part , by constantly drilling every grim detail into your wretched consciousness , even when all that may have happened is lost in a haze of a little-remembered past .
This is clear evidence for those who accuse Kagame of nonsense like he killed his own people bluh bluh bluh, this clear evidence Hutu's were saying such thing on national radio.
Hmm, Cockroaches....Terrible thing to call another tribe names. This happens and it is how people all over the world determine what is community and what is not community.
Just to let you know, you will be judged too and if all you do is spam TH-cam comments about judgement without any heart in it I believe you will be judged yourself.
Although I agree that they failed to help or do anything. I wonder if maybe this was something that needed to happen ... those people were not getting along and they just needed to have a fight to get their stuff sorted - and once it was all sorted they were finally able to determine who would take the lead and steer Rwanda into the future. God bless the Rwanda President Kagame, long may he live.

The divide and rule strategy was also used by the British Empire in India
Also in palestine
