- I created a new house for the one and only Mary-Sue Pleasant (now St. Julien) and her husband, Makoto. This bright cape cod home also has a separate in-law building for Mary-Sue's parents to stay in.

Aaaaaa, all I wanted was to see you building Sims 2 houses 😍 I love it! And I love the idea of having the Oldies. I play rotationally, so the Oldies end up alone in a small house and adopt a new child. Sometimes I like to separate Lilith and Angela and make Lilith live with them. They are adorable

If your Sims have trouble trimming the bushes placed off grid or too close to walls and fences, there's a mod call Trim Inaccessible Bushes that will fix it.

I'm delighted you did a Sims 2 build! It probably felt a bit archaic for you though, being so used to Sims 4. It's where I'm more comfortable building, but then again I mostly just play Sims 2 anyway. 😂
I was definitely missing some Sims 4 features 😂. I kept thinking I could grab the rooms and roofs.

I really like this house! It’s so very perfectly mid-90’s hgtv (remember when they still did the garden part of hg? 😂) suburban and really suits Mary-Sue and her parents!

I love this build and would love to download it. Also I'm not sure if Coral and Herb are going to be able to use any of the counter tops because on all of them is decoration also I like to use little half walls so the couch doesn't just stand there in the middle of the room and personally like to make a little half wall right next to the toilet so it's a bit more seperat from the rest of the bath room but I also heard that that's weird but I like it lol.
Unfortunately she built the lot on where a family is living, so she would have to rebuild the whole lot 😅
Thanks! I'll get rid of something that's on the counters. A half wall behind the couch is a great idea! I already recorded to next part, but I can add that for the next time we're with them.
Instead of using the cheat boolprop snapobjectstogrid, use setquartertileplacement on/off (ctrl+f). This cheat helped me a lot when I first started building in sims 2. And if u want to move pictures up and down on ur wall, use the bracket keys on ur keyboard. If u want to place stuff at an angle use boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation true/false. If u know about this already than ok, but I just wanted to help u cause I know how it feels building in sims 2. ❤️❤️❤️

I’m pretty sure you can use either the dorm or apartment doors to lock doors to specific sims, but I don’t remember how or f it would work for multiple sims sharing a space or if it locks to a single sim.

Love this series, the houses are amazing! I got back into the sims 2 during lockdown and the gameplay is amazing, do not know how I was ever able to build in it back in the day it was a struggle.
How is it a struggle building in this game? If you don't mind me asking

@@RihannaLoverr yea the sims 4 build mode is so much more simple and easier to use, be careful putting stairs in the sims 2 i always have to spent like 15 mins seeing what I did wrong 😂
Alexis Lee exactly! I forget you can’t just drag the walls to expand a room and instead have to delete and build, a nightmare 😭
@@RihannaLoverr not to mention how the wallpaper works 😫 I should really get back to building in the sims 2. The good thing is that we have ability to select 2 different colors/patterns for objects (like beds) I cant live without

This house is absolutely adorable! I love the suburban feel you went for. You absolutely nailed it. I'm such a sucker for dormers and granny flats. Seems like a great new beginning for Mary Sue after all she's been through. Will you have Angela/Lilith move back into the old Pleasant House?

i miss the telephone.. I hope Sims 4 provide a telephone and not only cellphone.. I miss the ambiance that I am home, someone calling to the phone or I should make a call.. cellphone is pretty handy but telephone is the best..
I tested the recreation of this home and had to tweak a few things (errors I made), but quickly found out that I couldn't package the lot after moving a sim out because all of the furnishing will auto delete. So I found online that if a sim DIES and they lived alone, then all of the furnishings stay in the home. I assume you could then save "package" up the home and share it. When I packaged it and reinstalled it back into my game then the home stayed in my library correctly for future use. I hope this is helpful. It's certainly made me feel better after spending hours building this. Have a great day.

Really cute build! If you add the Smart Beds mod you can assign sims to certain beds, but that might not help with them using each other's stuff lol.

This is gorgeous! People usually upload lots onto modthesims but because you built the lot with the sims on it, it has their data and can corrupt other people's games. Modthesims has instructions on how to upload lots but you would basically have to rebuild it from scratch without ever having any sims in it and use the clean installer to package it. modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=MTS2:Creator_Guidelines/Lots_and_Houses This page has more information but there is a lot more that goes into uploading sims 2 lots than you would think.

Thank you for this reminder! Sometimes people forget about the underlying tendency for corruption in TS2, it’s such a fun game but it has some game breaking issues. The sims 4 gallery is honestly one of the best things about that iteration of the franchise, I love downloading Ashley’s (& other’s) lots without having to worry!

There's a mod for the glitchy rugs, I think it's on mod the Sims 😊
You have to put the rugs without the boolprop snapobjectstogrid false. You just can put rugs cc with that cheat.
I got a mod which fixed the visual glitch, so now it works :)

Is the sims 2 actually still worth playing? I'm playing the sims 4 right now and am not really enjoying it and was thinking of playing the sims 3 but I've read that the sims 2 is apparently the general consensus for the best sims game. Thoughts?
You should definitely try it. It's a fun game when I get it working properly.❤️❤️❤️
I agree with Alexis. It may feel a bit dated, but I think it has more heart than Sims 4 and it feels like your Sims relationships matter more. I love all the surprises that pop up as you play it.
Your house looks so cute and what computer or Laptop run the sims 2 is there any way to modify it and I'm very bad at building
Thanks! It's pretty easy to get a computer that can run TS2 since it's 15 years old. I think pretty much any new computer will work. It can be hard to find TS2 though.
Hi. Trying to recreate your house since you aren't able to upload it. I have hit a snag when placing the kitchen widow that faces the porch. Please help. Used different cheats throughout the build but can't figure out how you moved the window that's in front of the bench. Thanks. Also, can you tell me how to move the city trash can and mailbox from in front of the driveway? Oh, and I think you just have to move your family back to the library and then you can save the house as a package file from map view. The family tree and friendships will be retained even when you put them back into the house from the library.
I saw you already completed this, but at one point I swapped the two tile wide shuttered window out for the single tile not shuttered one. so it centered better.
Would you consider rebuilding this in Sims 4?? I'd love to use it!!!

Looks just like James turner house he rebuilt recently, all the way down to the same color..
Then that's just a coincidence. This is a common style of house where I live, and I based this off of that.

I'm curious, if I play Sims 2 I probay a nub, because it's not spoon feeding like Sims 4. but I like it.. I'm curious because some people says it's more fun in Sims 2 than Sims 4
I find it more fun to play. While with the Sims 4 you mostly have to force it if you want something interesting to happen in your Sim's lives, the Sims 2 tends to throw curve-balls your way that makes gameplay more interesting.

Anybody know why she no longer does sims 4 lets plays?
It's mainly because things in my life have gotten busier and I had to cut down on what I was doing with TH-cam to make it more manageable. Gameplay wise I like TS2 more than TS4 so I chose to stick with playing this game for now and building in the Sims 4.
