The size of the workforce has also grown substantially at Plant Spartanburg, from an initial 500 people in 1994 to more than 10,000 people today - with another 1000 expected to join by 2021. A 2017 study by the University of South Carolina finds that for every 10 jobs that are directly generated at a U.S. BMW facility, an additional 90 jobs are created elsewhere in the U.S. economy as a direct result of these BMW jobs.

We are going to pick up our 4th BMW in a week, saw a new Cadillac SUV in the mall today, gaps in panels- didn't even line up. GM assembly can't even match this.

I bought a 530e a few years back it was built in Germany and let me tell you it was a solid solid built car I guess it's the materials they use or idk but the steering even down to the body of the car was built top notch

I work here and Im on my last day of my 5-day long weekend. I don't wanna go back but somebody has to pay my bills.
I worked in a car factory for 17 years....it was soul destroying shift work. Just glad I got out for my own sanity!

I guess you could tell a tale or two about the build quality of the X5 as much as I could do about the Range Rovers, Discoveries and Freelanders I used to build!

They let them rent them very cheaply. They can get a new car every year.
