The update Bella 3.1 trays stay locked shut with improvement they made with notch and divets to hold lid in place. It is not gonna fall off at all. Looks like yours is not the most recent. I have 65 of the updated ones, and work exclusively out of Bella trays and towers now🤗🤗🤗

If you cross-stitch you can you can use your needle minders, I don't use these or placer papers. I prefer parchment paper.
