Swap functions very differently than ram. Swap is basically a file(system partition) where the ram writes to depending on the swapinness value configured in the system. The internal storage used for swap is a a lot slower. This means the system will prioritize ram. I can definitely see a lag between your Retroid screen and the TV. And I'm pretty confident that the issue is not within Retroid, but the TV itself. I had this same, or even worse lag on my TV when I first got it connected. It was barely playable, and felt annoying. I pretty much immediately realized that the post-processing, all the bells and whistles that I had enabled to make TV and movies look better and smoother, caused the lag. I then found a built-in gaming mode from the TV, which disables all of these. Now it's really super snappy, no lag whatsoever between the screens. Good benchmarks are the good 'ol NES games, where all the little "boing-boing-boings" and "bang-bang-bangs" are great audio-video-gamepad synchronization tests that give no mercy 😁And the best part is that the TV remembers my picture settings per input! ps.
