I will never forget how I came across this song again. I was tripping on mushrooms one night and listening to music on TH-cam. Reached for my phone to turn it off and accidentally clicked on some video with Japanese characters for the title. It was this fucking song man. Literally just started crying and remembering my whole damn childhood and my life up until that point. One of the most beautiful experiences of my life. Thank you David Wise for making music that transcends space and time.

It's amazingly easy to do if your head is down in a project, don't have it too loud so you can still hear your thoughts and get in a zone and go for it.
one thing that stands out to me on the DKC soundtracks is the strikingly creative use of delays. there's so much subtlety and David made so many cool choices. for instance @ 3:12 on the snare - lots of very "wet" (meaning the delayed sounds are a high volume compared to the original sound) slapback (a very short delay time, which sounds like the sound "slapping back" at you from a large wall close by). the delay is so short and the feedback (the amount of the delayed sounds which are then "fed back" into the input and used as the source for new delayed sounds) is so high that it sounds very artifical and digital. it almost sounds like an IDM "snare rush" - very contemporary for 1995. David's put so much care into every single sound. the mix and amount of stereo movement are fantastic!
I miss playing donkey kong country 2 diddy Kong's quest it is fun and very excited to play this amazing game on the super Nintendo i miss collecting all of the DK coins to win the game and trying to defeat kaptain k. Rool who kidnapped donkey kong and is keeping him hostage and avoiding to take him away from both diddy and dixie who are on a mission to rescue their family member and bring him safely home to their grandpa who is worrying about him and wants him back more than ever.

stickerbush symphony is overrated. try listening to forest interlude as well. i think it’s close to being id not better than stickerbush symphony. but i still like both
