The best era of ITN / ITV News Music for me! Far more dramatic in the 90s compared to today! Do feel like that this should followed by the Powergen ITV Weather “Weathergens” (th-cam.com/video/6TUo5y7BSpg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vq59zF1eDj5hGbfh) to accompany the Closing Theme at 3:38 though! Another throwback to the 90s / early 2000s! Norwin at 3:48 in that clip did used to terrify me as a kid! 😂
Interesting fact firstly the Lunchtime News actually used the same opening theme as the Morning News from January 1996, while the Early Evening News had its Big Ben titles dropped in July 1997 both I think were to allow for more News correct me if I'm wrong. Noe the alternate Morning News titles which were in use between March 1999 - September 2000.
Dave Hewson did a good job, and always has done, we saw the late Carol Barnes co presenting here, never liked that News at Ten set, as too cramped, that music was also a bit off and never worked for me.
