Overview development progress of RTS Link stations: Johor Bahru (Malaysia) versus progress of Woodlands North (Singapore)

RTS Link construction project in Johor Bahru is start now
The RTS Link connects Bukit Chagar in Johor Bahru to Woodlands in Singapore, serving about 10,000 passengers per hour each way to help ease traffic congestion on the Causeway.
The RTS project is estimated to be RM3.7 billion after factoring in the relocation of the depot from Mandai in Singapore to Johor Bahru.
The RTS will not only ease congestion on the Causeway, the connectivity will also bring economic benefit to both cities.
The RTS Link will also continue to feature co-location of customs, immigration and quarantine (CIQ) facilities, so that passengers undergo CIQ clearance only once, at their point of departure.
The RTS Link stations will be well integrated with the local transport networks in each country.
When completed, the RTS Link will ease Causeway congestion, improve connectivity, foster people-to-people ties and generate shared economic and social benefits.

Also you gave us a bit of EDTP update also. I can now see clearly the track bed for the 2nd track has been more or less complete. And now they are working on completing the track joint on the southern end of the 2nd new track, while extending the 2nd new track as well at the northern end, which has now gone beyond the blue pedestrian bridge.

Siap je RTS ni nanti...kawasan hartanah Bukit Chagar tu akan naik berkali ganda dari harga sekarang...dan yang paling pasti, berlaku migrasi besar-besaran dari utara/pantai timur ke selatan tanah air sebab orang berpusu-pusu nak kerja di Singapura dengan nilai mata wang yang kukuh...yang kental je mampu hadap jem dekat Woodlands dengan Tuas ni, tapi bila RTS siap lagi senang nak gerak bekerja ke Singapura...sampai Singapura sistem MRT sane cekap, boleh sampai ke mana2 tempat ikut waktu yang ditetapkan....

Akan ada Komuter Selatan. Kekerapan tren setiap 30 minit. Mereka yang kerja kat Singapore dengan area bandar JB boleh stay kat Kulai, Kempas, Renggam, Kluang. Naik Komuter tak sampai sejam, pastu transit naik RTS kat Bukit Chagar.

Looks like Singapore's side of the marine viaduct is almost complete. Now just left about 4 more piers for its complete connection.
M'sia has also completed their 7th span.

To say the truth, they may still need one more year to complete the construction of the viaduct and the station and the depot.
Anyway, even if delay until June 2025 then complete, at least the construction is done properly. And still in time to open in 2027.

It’s not slow. It’s normal pace. It’s just that they over estimate. Most sectors still need at least 8 more months then will complete and enable track installation thereafter.
July + eight months = next year March
The JB Sentral part still need 18 months. This means the following year, January 2026.
Still in time to rush for 2027 opening, anyway.
And definitely still in time to get this RTS Link completed within the current term of the Malaysia government (November 2022 to November 2027).

@@levronang2174 Singapore one, majority underground. Until now, the cut and cover construction haven’t reached ground level yet.
So, one is elevated, one is underground. Cannot just look at the surface and compare.
Furthermore, Singapore one costs 3x that of Malaysia.
Considered both sides are contributing equally on the RTS Link.
