Thanks for the hint about the Bic lighter spring. Many years ago I lost the spring from my grandfathers mine safety lamp and that worked.

Can I use zippo lint lighter and zippo fluid in this miner lamp?

Hi, in the Protector lamps I always use zippo flints, they work really well. Zippo fluid should be fine too. An empty Protector will take approximately 100ml of spirit fuel.

I used a disc cutter on a dremmel to cut the slot in the screwdriver.
