The sign at 7:36 reads "Impossible" (ムリ)
10:55 could read similar to "Hey" or "Yo" (うおす), or a variant of "Fish" (うお) [thanks to pyro978 for noticing], same as the level thumbnail.
11:20 reads "Thank you" (アリガと) missing the last moji ウ
The creator's username is "Oribeeshi" (おりべぇし) for the record.
The description reads: "??? I don't really know why, but the three-player troll course disappeared(was deleted?)! Now you could have a chance to steal the main role! What's been missing in the animes have been made up for in Mario Maker."
The title translates to something similar to "Overwhelming Defeat".
The sign at 10:55 has a yo at the end and not su. You can see this in the level thumbnail. Replacing the su with yo makes it “fish”.
I don't think it's よ. The horizontal stroke cuts through way too far to the left. I also cannot see the rest of the moji and have to judge by the video alone.
I can agree though that うお being "fish" makes sense for the following screen.
Any idea why Arigatou (missing the u as you say) is written using katakana rather than the usual hiragana?
@@Cream147player It is much easier to give form to Katakana in the blocky "pixel style" grid rather than trying to create the curves of Hiragana.
The reason for the missing moji: It's baiting the player to make the jump for the fifty, expecting the ウ to appear further up through screen scrolling.
Pretty sure the bit that's cut off at 10:55 is the left half of another お.

Second favorite part of this level was the second spring push on the piranha plant into fireworks.
If there are any gutsy troll makers reading this, I want to suggest a King Bling antisoftlock which never actually kills you and instead ends in a legitimate softlock.

For those wondering, 7:55 on the right it says ムリ (muri) meaning impossible, 10:55 on the right it says うおお (uoo) meaning wow, and 11:15 from bottom to top it says アリガト (arigato) meaning thank you.
Respect to the home crowd creators 🇯🇵 Absolutely love the goomba shoe / boot arch (ring) and entire level concept. The single screen challenge was also a good surprise 😂
The third wave to the Piranha Plant at the beginning is ranked for top troll of the year.

19:35 look at the launcher here. There’s a 1UP mushroom in the process of being fired, but something’s wrong with it. I never knew this, and I’ve never heard anyone mention it. For a single frame, as it spawns in, the 1UP mushroom has the same text on it as in the level editor. Carl, unintentionally, managed a frame perfect door entry allowing us to see this for longer than we should. To think this went unnoticed for the game’s entire lifespan!
The level translates to something along the lines of “overwhelming death” 圧倒的没 (attouteki botsu) fyi: 圧倒attou is the normal noun of the word which means overwhelm and becomes “to overwhelm” when changed to a ver by adding するsuru . but adding 的(teki) changes it to an adjective which ends up as overwhelming. Botsu 没 can mean drowning or death but can mean rejected (as seen later on)
Knowing that, one can reason the title means an overwhelming rejection but that’s up to you to decide, especially considering the content of the description.
The creator’s name is Oribeshi おりべぇし
And the description appears to be a quote of some sort, maybe a line. It says something along the lines of “I don't know why, but the 3 person cheat “troll?” level is gone! Now you might be able to take the leading role! You can return the rejected parts of the anime to Marime. “

There’s a lot of younger Japanese slang I’m not used to so I had to search the parts I didn’t get. 没 botsu from earlier comes back but doesn’t mean death in this context but instead means rejected when a suffix is added. In this case “〜にされてきた” which becomes botsu ni saretekita
Edit: as I’m rereading this, I just realized that マリメ Marime is very likely the shorthand slang name for Mario Maker
マリオ メーカー =「マリ」オ + 「メ」ーカー

I think this is one of the best, if not the best troll level Carl has played. I think Carl was not prepared to with the mental stamina for how long/troll dense it was going to be.
There are two constants in life: Carl stumbling into the solution by chance and Carl not realizing that he stumbled into the solution and getting confused on what to do
1:07 - 2:06 may be my favourite troll of 2022. If there's ever a Carl Highlight Reel, this better be on it 😂

This is one of the best troll levels I've seen in a long time. Absolutely brilliant!
i have been watching carl for a few years now, got one of my siblings and my fiance hooked on carl, and I have to say that his genuine joy and exuberance at getting absolutely bodied in this level truly does spark joy :)
I cant read kanji but I can at least do the basic stuff:

This might be ムリ "muri" which basically means "Impossible". Probably trying to trick the player into thinking its a softlock. Muri is usually written in Kanji but 無理 might be too hard to make in mm2 blocks. (I think Carl is too distracted to realize this is a message)

This looks like "uoo" うおお which basically is screaming "Ohh!" But I can't fully see the third character

This starts to spell "arigato" アリガトウ which means thank you, but it stops before the u ウ
Now some actual native speaker can reply and tell me why everything I wrote is wrong!

That moment when you realize that the cannons are actually benevolent, because not re-obtaining CP1 would just make you respawn from CP2 and accomplish nothing.

27:14 You hit the block that time because you jumped one frame later than before. You jumped out of "coyote time" (the game giving you a grace period where you're technically falling but it'll still let you jump), which means you jumped from a starting position a couple pixels lower, which caused you to hit the block.
I was wondering why this level felt so long without cp2.
Now it all makes sense.
