Thanks for your interest in my videos. In the locations where I hike, there are no bears or wolves. The biggest predator that can be found is a wild boar. And recently I met a wild cat that had never been seen here before. I set up a camera trap in a part of the forest where cat-like sounds were coming from, hoping that this rare animal would get into the focus.

Just stumbled upon your Channel I love the cabin you built. I'm actually building one two it's roughly the same dimension. I definitely took some notes about the roof I was going back and forth between a few different styles. But I think I will likely settle on the design shown in the video.
Thank you! In the past, I suffered from insomnia and remember how videos about nature helped me relax. Definitely, if you find it useful, I will try to make them longer.
Again you got me with video! Easy and simple technics: "KISS" = "keep is stupid simmple"! I have never seen fixing a ridge-pole only by clampng between to trees. Genious, my friend. To be honest you will have to admit, finding bark pieces of this size is a real Joker in the game. Nice how you transformed a fire place into a grill, an than into a long fire for the night. But did it keep you warm all the night?
Glad to get your feedback and thanks for watching this adventure! As for the fire, I was not lucky enough to find dry logs for an "all night" fire. The fire burned while I threw small dry firewood between the logs. My wife convinced me to take a sleeping bag with me on the hike, and as I wrapped myself up in it, I didn't want to get out to keep the fire going. I didn't feel any temperature discomfort, but I couldn't sleep. At night it was about -8 °C.
Nice vid but cant believe you didnt fill in the shelter ends, ie snow walls, didn't weigh down tbe pine thatch on the roof with boughs, and angled your long log fire such that the fuel was occluding the heat, and no reflector?? 😮
That's right. The side walls will work as a heat reflector. But this "closed box" could contribute to smoke stagnation, as the firewood was very unstable. I had to constantly throw small firewood between long logs that stubbornly did not want to burn. All because of the frozen water in them. As soon as the fire weakened, insidious smoke appeared. I think you understand what I was afraid of.
Why did you leave your boots unprotected like that when you went to sleep? I'm not sure from the video if there was any snowfall during the night, but they had to be soaked anyways, right? I get that it's closer to the fire, but I was always taught to keep them as close as possible to my body when going to sleep. Even inside the sleeping bag if possible. I'm not saying you did anything wrong there, I'm just puzzled...
I have to ask, the woods you’re doing that in are they like privately owned or are they free to use or what, only asking cos I wanna try the same thing but I’m not sure on the laws
In my country, such camping is not illegal. It is illegal to cut down live trees. You need to learn the Forest Code, etc. that applies in your country.

@@zostawSuuuuba._ This shelter provides protection from snowfall. Due to the wet firewood, excessive smoke could be trapped in the closed space of the tent, so the open side walls prevented this. That's why I used a winter sleeping bag.

Love your content, but how do you always manage to strip such massive pieces of bark?
It's just a dry tree, the bark comes off easily. Old forests are full of such trees.

Do you ever revisit your builds after you filmed a Video? Are they still standing/useable?
After filming, I disassemble them. I left only the log cabin where I like to spend time.
