Dude, just use common "liquid gasket" sealant from your local hardware store. The Kafuter is for direct application onto PCBS so that the circuitry itself gets waterproofed...

I had an old waterproof jacket going spare ... so i cut it up and made a bespoke jacket that fits over and around the base plate .. finished off with grip tape...very easy solution.

yes, I did the same thing, but I seal the top edge with very thin cork bar tape (use for covering handlebar of road bicycles). That material lasts for at least 5+ years and prevents water from leaking into the inside of the battery.

just use some RTV silicone, if it can be used on an engine oil sump to stop leaks it can defo work to stop water getting in and you dont need to wait 12 hours. It is also easy to remove cover later and clean up.

still yet to put some galvanised u bolts in the side of the deck, so you can lock your scoot to a bike rack when your at work, or go into a super market, using some K2 metal bond and permanent thread locker

You opened the seal, now you have to scrape it out the old chemical that protected it before, also other guy used actual rubber mat to seal it. There are 2 buttons bellow the wires, you also need ring seal it with rubber. Dunno about silicone if it;s a good protector. I know that nail polish kind of does the job, but not perfectly if underwatter, there are other sealants that become solid to protect circuits check out GreatScot, but you won;t get to touch the electronics ever I think, as it's sealed forever...
Maybe just use some cat litter inside with a plain sock It will take out all the wetness that passes trough. There are raincoats for decks, but I saw selling them in Philippines. Increasing mudguard length so water would not splash easily on the front deck. I am trying to think about cleaning shoes too, it would help especially at muds and winter. Salty water is the worst of the kind...

@@gew12 not nearly as much as being outside brother, room lighting is not the same as direct exposure to UV, most exterior silicones won't even cure if they have no UV exposure, and others like RTV will cure at room temperature but they dry out if exposed to too much radiation.
