Congratulations on your decisions! I applied to seven schools for PhD programs and I’m still waiting on decisions. The process is really jarring and I’m trying not to lose my mind. Watching your video gives me hope!
I applied to almost all of these Ed policy programs a few years ago. I was accepted to Columbia and Harvard Ed policy masters programs. I ended up attending Harvard Graduate School of Education!! Good luck at Columbia!!
Hi Cameron! I've applied to several programs in the education field as well. I've gotten one decision so far (it was early). Its nice to see a fellow education student. I'm going to start vlogging my experience. Congratulations on your admissions!
Just graduated fall 2021 and currently applying to us and international grad schools for mba and travel management lol. Work experience is important for many schools and gmat as well as inter view but hope I do well to get in by fall 22/spring 23
Waiting on the results is so much stress. I have 7 MA applications out and have heard back from 2. So far I have two "YES" answers but still check my email 50 x a day
Hello Cameron! I am applying to a bunch of those schools as well but for a different program. However, with that being said, i was wondering if you share an example of your statement of purpose for Columbia and / or UC Berkeley?
@@camerondiwa Congrats! I'm at Columbia right now in my second year! I'm in the clinical psych masters program and stumbled on your video! I just finished all of my PhD applications and am watching college acceptance videos right now because I'm super anxious (haha)! I'm sorry that classes are all basically online right now because of COVID, but I really hope that you're enjoying the program!
@@SapphireChildXD thank you! yeah i'm enjoying my classes as much as i can haha given the circumstances. but good luck with your PhD apps! waiting for decisions can be the hardest part of the whole process.
I'm applying to Education Policy/International Education programs at similar schools soon. And I also go to Cal! Any tips? I have a 3.7 GPA and lots of research and internship experience. Is there anything else I should do before I apply?
Hello Cameron, I really enjoyed watching your videos. currently I'm studying my last semester for my bachelor in business, I'm willing to study my master in the US, and I'm currently preparing for my GMAT. Honestly I have no idea about how can I apply, and other tricks, so can you give me any advices before I am applying. thanks in advance
How long did it take from the time you finished the application process (interviews included-if applicable) to the time they sent out decisions? I just finished PhD interviews with Berkeley a couple of days ago, and I am so anxious to find out whether or not I've been accepted! I know each program is different, but I wanted to know generally more or less. Congratulations on all your acceptances! What an accomplishment!
I submitted most of my applications in December, and started receiving decisions in mid-February til late March. from my experience, PhD admission decisions come earlier than master's, but that also depends on your specific program's timeline. good luck with all your decisions !
Wow, I could only apply to 9 gradschools this year but I won't lie, these videos make me wish I applied to more. But all it takes is one acceptance though right!?
Congratulations!! I am planning to apply for MS in CS... do admission to masters programs require an interview round or is the interview just for phd??
Hi Dev! it depends on the institutions you apply to. some will require an interview, while others won't. typically admission to a master's program does not have an interview portion. it is more common for PhD admission
@@camerondiwa hm, actually I mean to talk to a professor in order to understand if he / she is a good fit for you and your research. I mean, I am from Brazil and here is not common to contact professor during application time. However, some friends of us told me that it’s really hard to get into a excellent university if you do not contact any professor. I am a little confused about it. That’s why I would like to know if u did it
@@ThayHenriques got it. so what you are wondering about is typical if you are applying to PhD programs. before applying, you want to do your own research and assess whether your interests align with faculty interests. if they do, you can contact the professor to talk more about their research. however, some, if not most, PhD programs do not strictly require that you reach out to professors. the important thing is that your research interests align with the professor's interests. hope this helps!

I'm not comfortable sharing my exact stats, but I'll say this: my college GPA was lower than the minimum GPA needed to pursue honors in my major.
