How To Draw a Rocket Spaceship in Adobe Illustrator 🚀

In today's Adobe Illustrator tutorial we're going to play around with various shapes to build a simple little rocket spaceship. We'll use basic shapes to not only make creating the illustration easy, it also gives it a stylised, cartoon like appearance. After building the outlines we'll add some colour to bring it to life, then I'll show you some techniques for producing different kinds of illustration styles.

Great tutorial with useful brief explanations of each step, something missing from many Adobe tutorials. One note: The speaker speaks very, very fast. Unless there is some time limit imposed, slowing the narrative just slightly would increase comprehension, at least for me. Thanks for posting this.

Very nice tut :) Just one hack to Live Paint Bucket: grab all the color samples from the artboard and in Swatches panel create new Color Group with “collect from selected” option.
Then when you select the group in the swatches panel, you can directly switch the colors of Live Paint Bucket with left/right arrows! Cheers! :)

Just spent what seems like 30 minutes trying to do this in photoshop... I can move corners with the rectangle tool but not with the elipses tool. What on earth? Do I need Illustrator or is there a way around this? I can see me using this a lot if shapes come this easily on Illustrator.

Nice job, but you want way too fast and slowing down the video doesn't really help. "How to" videos should be slower and easier to follow along.
