I understand this is meant to show that makeup will "stick" to your face when you use this primer but when consumers complaints about alot of cosmetics is its "too sticky or tacky" it just seems like an odd choice. I think this would have been better if this same concept was used with the idea that it's hard to make your makeup budge from your face. She's amazing, and it was a cute commercial, but it just seemed to emphasize the wrong part. For your second commercial, I would take her iconoc moments from her movies and turn those situations into her makeup not budging. You're welcome😂😂

Can someone tell me why this ad is such a great idea? Its just showing us how majorly sticky it is its like saying DONT buy us
It's good that it's sticky because your make up (your foundation) will stick to it and stay on your face better aka last longer. You want your make up, especially your foundation to last all day so you don't have to keep applying it/fixing it throughout the day so it's good that it's sticky to help with that.
Given the characters I've seen her portray, this and last year's Uber Don't Eats ads were perfect for her!

@pvvelll, Don't feel bad, I'm a woman who's been wearing makeup for most of my life and this commercial made no sense to me. I adore Jennifer Coolidge, but the commercial didn't make me want to wear that product.

I was thinking the same, does not make me want to buy the product.
A sticky primer is used for products like foundation or concealer to have a better grip which means more longevity. But that‘s also a thing of preference, some people don‘t like the feeling and for some it doesn’t work like it should. It can be a bit difficult with matte foundations since they tend to dry down pretty quick and won’t be able to be blended. So if you‘re using that primer, maybe pick a more luminous foundation

Hahaha--the way you said that is pretty cute...so the primer isn't made for your FACE to stick to it; it's made for MAKEUP to stick to it. Once the base makeup (foundation) and setting powder is applied, any initial tackiness imparted by the primer disappears. The tacky texture of the primer is supposed to make base makeup better adhere to the skin, and thus, wear longer.
This ad did not make me want to buy. The fact that it’s so sticky is not primer material. Yuk!

Why would I want to buy sticky makeup?.. I purchase cruelty free makeup and ELF isn't one of them. Tried it and it felt as if my pores were getting clogged. Didn't like how it felt on my skin. 🤢
ELF is not a quality makeup. Shouldn't be selling in places like Kohl's. It's cheap and should be sold in the Dollar Tree. I didn't quite understand the commercial. Sticky? Who would want sticky?

I'm telling you the new lines that you guys have come out with are phenomenal. There's this new eye gel like product and I wish I could remember the name and I can't it's in a purple little tiny circle like bottle and when you put it on it feels like you literally jumped in the pool it hydrates you so quickly and stays with you it's amazing the difference and the tightness in my face and just less than a month with the hemp thc infused happy hydration line to the other products. I love that with elf there's no system just put on whatever your skin needs on almost any combination of ways. The price point fuggetaboutit I used to be a Mac Estee lauder Borghese you name it high end product girl until one day I found this 4$ pore minimizer and then some powder and eyebrow pencil and I cannot stop buying elf products because THEY WORK THEY FEEL GREAT GREAT INGREDIENTS AND THE QUALITY FOR THE PRICE IS UNTOUCHED AND UNMATCHED IN THIS INDUSTRY.
