What did we miss during the finale? Now for the long wait for season 2... Endless thanks to everyone who watched, liked, commented, and subscribed during this journey!! We appreciate you and hope you stick around to join us for future videos! We are trying to figure out a feasible way to watch the One Piece anime, but we might need to wait until we have more subscribers/a Patreon or something to be able to pull it off! 🤞 But we really do want to make it happen!
Luffy putting the hat on Nami is extremely important. In previous episodes, he was protective of the hat as it is his treasure and part of the promise he made to Shanks. By placing the hat on Nami, he is essentially saying that he not only trusts her with the hat but that he considers her his treasure as well.
Congratulations! You just completed the prologue of One Piece! Now from here on out, things start to get crazy. More interesting locales, more crazy powers, more developed characters, more terrifying villains, & even more Straw Hats as you continue since this crew is only half of them, & the other half are just as crazy & lovable as these guys. Just wait until you meet the Cotton Candy Lover & the Demon Child next season. Season 2 is close to wrapping up on filming & much of the cast has already been announced, & it’s a solid cast for Season 2.
Glad you guys enjoy it ❤ Please react to *The Breathtaking World of One Piece* video, you'll get a glimpse of how big and great this world actually is, do not worry its has no spoilers.
So, if someone hasn't told you yet, there are differences between this and the source material, the biggest being the reveal of Garp being Luffy's paternal grandfather, which doesn't happen until way later in the source material. Similarly, just from following filming and casting information, something similar may be happening in season 2, which isn't really a spoiler for you since you don't know the source material anyway, but is a huge spoiler for people who do, or at least it would be if I hinted at what that thing is, which I am not. Either way, seasons 2 & 3 are looking to be amazing, and the casting has been pretty close to perfect!
Koby has already had a very extended presence in this show through this point compared to the manga/anime, so I’d guess he’ll continue to be involved in upcoming seasons as well. He’s only in the story for the first few episodes of the anime at which point he separates from Luffy and Zoro who just teamed up to start the crew. Koby then is out of the series for hundreds of episodes except for a couple of episodes early in the Strawhats time in the Grandline, where it’s shown how Koby and Helmeppo end up under Garp’s tutelage. That story comes from a cover page story in the manga.
Really loved the first 2-3 episode reactions, then started enjoying them less. Still think it's great, but wanted to let you know my experience in case it helps you improve your content. One difference I noticed between the reactions I enjoyed more is that Joan seemed to talk more in the first few reactions. I loved everything she said and thought her comments were hysterical, so Joan I really encourage you to think about why you were adding less commentary in the later reactions and then change whatever it is, whether it's other people's negative comments or (just how it felt watching the edits) Michael talking MORE making you feel you need to wait before adding your own comment. Maybe Michael is just SHY and you're trying to encourage him to contribute more, but everytime he started talking it seemed like you just STOPPED talking, turned to him and gave him full attention to continue and stopped adding your own thoughts. Again, this is just what it seemed like from watching your edits, I'm not sure if this is actually something that's happening, but it feels like SOMETHING is stopping you from contributing more, so that's why I said, find out why that is. Maybe you just feel like your comments aren't as good and are cutting them and Michael has nothing to do with it. This is all just supposition on my part. One thing I noticed was the first episode also had more added text which I thought was funny. Like #birdwatch. Things that detracted from my enjoyment as the series went one were comparisons made to other anime, and Michael's strange fixation on people's abilities and how they MUST be related to devil fruits or objects they have. This was despite people in the comments (it seemed) and even Joan explaining that "not everyone who has powers has a devil fruit." Lots of people have fruits, but lots of people don't. Like Joan said, if she had Mihawk's sword she would still not be the greatest swordsman in the world. Maybe it's just me finding that bothersome, not sure. Like I said, just wanting to share my experience in case it helps you out since your channel is still growing. Michael, I want to encourage you to listen more to what Joan and commenters are saying. Don't assume that they aren't understanding you, but instead assume that they do and that they disagree and listen to WHY they disagree and respond to that instead of just continuing to explain your own opinion. I find this is something male reactors tend to struggle with especially if the people reacting are mixed gender. This might be my own bias/sensitivity making me see something that isn't there, but even if it's not, in general I think that responding to what your co-reactor says instead of re-explaining your own opinion makes for more enjoyable content. As far comparison to other anime and stuff.... It's just obvious you don't have any idea what you're talking about, like thinking the "source" is the anime and not the manga and not even being certain of the genre of the show so I would just avoid making comments about that type of stuff. Again, it might just be me, but I personally find it annoying when people make completely incorrect statements about things they don't have a vested interest in, especially if it's something I do have a vested interest in. Anyway I hope my comment doesn't upset either of you. I really did enjoy watching your reactions and I think Joan is my new favorite creator. I also really liked her jokes about POTs and being chronically ill or chronically offline. As a disabled person I really enjoy that kind of humor. I am sorry to her for the people who made mean comments about her face blindness. You will probably continue to get mean comments like that just because it's the internet and people can be mean about things they perceive to be willful ignorance, and can be especially critical of woman. (Not trying to assume either of your genders, but you are female presenting even if you don't identify that way so people will still be more critical of you based on their own perceptions.) Also you know not everyone who watches your videos is going to have watched THIS video and seen that explanation, so unless you include the disclaimer EVERY video people are going to be coming in with the same mentality. I just wanted to give you a heads up because this is something I have seen other content creators struggle with and be frustrated by. Sorry for the super long comment, but I am looking forward to seeing more reactions from you two. I never watched arcane, but I'm tempted to check out even that reaction just because I liked seeing your commentary on this series so much. Thank you for sharing your reactions with us and I hope you have a wonderful day. :)
Hey, thank you for watching and for your care in commenting! It's funny to me that you would think that Michael is shy, when he is 1000% the opposite. I don't think I know a less shy person lol but I know that I have so many thoughts at all times I'm afraid I'll forget them if I don't say them out loud right away, so I tend to talk over people a lot. I'm aware of this so I try really hard to give people the full attention they deserve. Sometimes I do lose my train of thought as a result, but I'd rather that happen than be rude/talk over people/be a ungenerous screen partner. I'm also the person who edits these, and I definitely feel like I talk at least 50% of the time!! And look, we're all human and make mistakes. We sometimes don't see your comments in between videos due to the filming/editing schedule, so while it may seem obvious that it's been said already, sometimes it hasn't for us, or it's been weeks and we simply forgot, because human. I think watching people on the Internet gives the audience a disconnect; I highly doubt half these people would say half of what they do in these comments to us in person, cause they're insane things to just go up to a stranger to say. All the little things we overlook or push past when we're face to face, they get thrown at you in comments on TH-cam piece by piece. It is what it is, and we'll take it in stride as best we can. Thanks for watching, and hope you stick around despite any qualms you have! -Joan
