"Arise, O Man, in thy strength! The kingdom is thine to inherit. Till the high gods witness at length that Man is the Lord of his spirit." - *Aleister Crowley*
For the people asking, why this was left out in the rest of the world: Japan used to have a high tax on CDs, so people just started to order from outside the country which was often cheaper than buying the CD in Japan. In an attempt to stop this Sony and other companies made the bands to have extra songs that were only available on the Japan releases. I don't think that the high taxes exist anymore (but they might, feel free to correct this), but those "special japan songs" are still often made.
The riffs are crazy good here. The intro and verse primarily. I remember them from a leak (or was it a teaser?). Glad they made it to the album even if as a bonus.
Yeah Nergal played the song on Instagram stories and I was freaking hyped for the album, but eventually quite diapointed that I couldn't find these riffs. Today, almost year after the ILYAD release, I found out the song exists (and will be released on the short EP) and it's easily banger which should've been a single.
@@TheMonsterHunterTV "i loved you at your darkest" is the name of the most recent album this song is only on the Japanese release or something like that
so disappointing ! are Japaneses more fanatics than Europeans from behemoth? what a pity for us, it is not fair for European fans. Good song by the way...
@@sickeningmind2533 I dont think it's that they more fanatics. With the digital climate the way it is in Japan maybe it harder to get people to buy physical copies of a album these days.
@@davekearney3566 For a long time Japan has had bonus tracks that the rest of the world hasn't got, even in the days vinyl and cassette tapes it's been like that.
@@yepwhatever1142 I have a few copies of the record. C.d and vinyl which had other extra songs. And yes it is annoying that you have to get another version. Any more cliched responses?
All music related stuff costs way more, specifically with CDs i believe so bands add some extra songs since they're paying way more even when you compare currencies !
In Japan, imported CDs have typically been substantially cheaper than local editions. By adding exclusive bonus tracks, the Japanese publishers/distributors hope they can entice at least a few buyers to purchase the more expensive domestic version(s) rather than the cheaper imports.
Dude play your records. That's what they're for. I have over 100 records and I play them all no matter what I paid for them. You should enjoy a physical copy. Besides, if you don't store your records correctly they won't be mint after a while anyways. However, if you do store them correctly and take proper care of them (correct antiskating and stylus weight on the turntable, cleaning the stylus, cleaning your records properly etc.) you won't ruin your records even if you play them alot.
Easily one of the strongest songs on the album holy hell

After 2 hours if playing back this song...
The opening riff is the best riff they ever made!
Ezekiel Jarek That and inner sanctum, the reign ov shemsu-hor, conquer all etc.
Why in the hell did they leave this off the album?? Might be my favourite track on it
japanese bonus track
Japanese always get the best!
I'll give you a trinity of guesses

It was a teaser
exactly! was saying the same, totally underrated song lol

That aged poorly
this song is better than the hole album! ! !
I know behemoth wants to sound different each album but they should have stuck to this sound for "I loved you at your darkest "
Yeah this song and Evoe should be on album instead of We are the Next 1000 Years
Looks like the best song is a bonus track 👿
third best for me. Havohej and Wolves are better. Just IMO
End it with Mr. Crowley.... PERFECT!!!!!
Such a badass track. A grinding number with an eerie whispering vocals and Inferno's fiery drumming.
what an amazing song, has the same energy as bartzabel, best songs on the album
I can’t believe this was 2 years ago........ This brings back memories of my sophomore year of high school!
Big thanks for uploading!
Just discovered the Japanese track, glad I did. Great album as a whole
I reviewed the album for Echoes and Dust and this to me is still one of the craziest decisions to leave this belter of a track off the album.
god=dog is a single and this is a bonus song? ok nergal
I loved you at your darkest is the album

This could easily have made the European edition. Really annoyed this song was left off. It is a killer tune.
so disappointing

Oh stop complaining. If you wanna hear it you gotta buy the record or find it on TH-cam. I think it's cool.

HOW HAVE I NOT HEARD THIS YET!!!!
sick song!! wish i could have known about this track sooner
Amazing song! Should have been on the album!
Also, funny, me and my buddy sampled the same part of Crowley’s poem recently 😂
The quote is also on a Fields of the nephilim album. Nergal is a fan of them
Beautiful.. sheer bliss
This is pretty good wonder why its only on the Japan version
I can answer that. In Japan CDs are expensive so bands usually add bonus songs to the Japanese releases to make it more enticing to the Japanese fans.
@@doublestack2k we all pay as well though ¯¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯
Listeining to this while waiting for the new EP. Heavy stuff!
Behemoth are at the point where they can play "Smoke On The Water" and it will be hailed as "revolutionary".
Awesome!!!
why do bands release extra songs for japan

I wished imports would be cheaper in my country
Be Kurwa ' cause

Шедеврально!
FUCKING AWESOME!
aaaah how about a video. May as well have the radio on.
Behemoth is played on the radio? Where?
O🔥🔥🔥
Nergal was totally influenced by "the Pentagram" by Aleister Crowley for these lyrics. Fuckin mint 👌
His whole music is based on AC wicked philosophy
Wtf? Why was this song only a bonus track? This is the best song of the album!
A wonderful song indeed, but for me the best song of the Album is Sabbath Mater
this is pretty good, not some left over that didn't make it to the album.
Kinda reminds me of a song from Demigod, I think it was Inner Sanctum
That one is from Apostasy. And yeah I could see how you would correlate the two
It's The Reign Of Shemsu-Hor dude
😍
So this Will be their new single for the baltic tour?
Bro, the only way to hear this is on vinyl or a $45 cd... and I ain’t trynna ruin my MINT copies, they need a digital release

Nice to see that the japanese actually get to have a good song on this album.
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Does anyone else think the guitars are too low in the mix and the vocals too high? I mean not just for this song but the whole album.
I think they did that for the atmosphere, you can hear the symphonies more.
the nice tremolo lead of bartzabel is kinda low
サタンクロノス‼️✝️amen‼️
Videonn noMUST
Great song indeed, but it's not right that only Japanese can enjoy it in the record
Probably their best after Satanist
how's the best song not in the original album
667 like is my :'(
Where is GOD??
There is no GOD!
No Satan either.
Just great music, like this.
