id recommend the fatshark predator v2 goggles. they work very well, and are immersion rc compatible if you want to upgrade the transmitter etc. bare in mind that the goggles are technically illegal in the us now :(

With goggle mounted spironet, I'am getting about 1200 mts of clean vision. However with an RX mounted on a 3 mt tall pole longer ranges can be achieved. But that depends on RC TX range. Enjoying the vids-very well presented. Getting a P2 with the 3 axis gimbal, so you're vids are much appreciated. Cheers.

I get a signal to my Black Pearl monitor on band F channel 7, I can tell because the fuzzy lines go away and its a solid black feed. Thats the issue though, signal is being picked up but there no live video, seems to be an issue somewhere between the GoPro and the Tx. I've already ordered a replacement PnP cable to try that first, any other recommendations? Thanks!!

Is this actually the case? Some recommend the 7 channel but i find it impossible to get my hands on one!! Could you let me know which was used in your video and results please. Thanks.
I don't have canbus outlet running down the legs... what do I do to have the iOSD mini? I have the Phantom 2 Vision +. Changed to H3-3D mount, but would like to have longer range on FPV than the bluetooth setup on a gopro
just curious have you had any problems with control of the drone with this fitted? not sure if this is correct but both the P2 and this FPV kit use the same frequency.
Ryan Boesen The GoPro connects to the Gimbal. The Gimbal connects to the mainboard. The ImmersionRC also connects to the mainboard directly. Hence the feed is sent from the GoPro to the mainboard and through the board to the immersionRC transmitter.

hi. Just looking at your set up I noticed that the phantom 2 you have set this up on is the older model. The one I have is the updated version with the gimbal control wheel on the transmitter. Not sure what frequency this is now ..just bought the black pearl monitor + immersion 5.8 ghz transmitter and an iosd mini with plug and play cable. Will all this set up still work on my phantom without interference to the quad itself..also in the box with my zen muse h3 3D gimbal there is a Gcu v2 little black box ..what is this used for ..new to all this fpv stuff ..just wondering if you have any advice for me ..thanks
Nuno Melo It could be used if the camera supports a video out feed, although the setup would be slightly different as you wouldn't be going through the gimbal.
Can i use the immersion Rc 5.8G transmitter for both the blackpearl monitor and for the fpv goggles or do i need seperate transmitters on the phantom 2.

Andy Black The Phantom 2 Vision+ is pretty much set up and ready to go out of the box with regards to FPV. The Phantom 2 H3-3D requires some setting up and extra purchases, as per the video, but will produce better overall results due to the use of the GoPro, as Talon276 mentions ;o)

LUIS MEDINA You do not need the hub with this setup. The Anti-interference board should come with the gimbal and its a good idea to install it - see the guide here: th-cam.com/video/5hQooE5mLGc/w-d-xo.html
I have a phantom 3 pro and I understand it might be redundant to do this for it, either way is it possible? sometimes my phone craps out from heat and digital live feed gets laggy.
BerarducciFILMS The black pearl has the receiver built in, hence the antennas built onto the top. You do not need any extra equipment other then whats shown in this video.

Your circular polarized antenas were mixed...You showed a RIGHT hand polarized mixed with a LEFT hand polarized one, and that's WRONG! You need to pick either one but never mix them or you will have a crappy video feed if any... The rest of the information presented in your video was ok. Greetings from Douglas, Arizona. What connects the Gopro to the immursionrc. Is there a video output cable, I didn't see listed?

Hamid Badr You can't with any GoPro setup on a Phantom - it needs to be recording when you take off.....

So the zenmuse helps with fpv? I'm confused how you get video out.
Video out is via the side USB connector to the GoPro - check out the next video on how everything is put together and it'll become a lot clearer ;o)

UK limit is 25mw you would need a licence to operate a 250mw or 600mw in the UK. It's different for other places in the world
