Let us know the next time you are in Chicago Adam, will get you a private tour at Delorean Midwest. It's just as big and 30-50 Deloreans always around and in the shop. Would love to have you in.
Was it Cicadas in the trees? One flew into or car while in Houston, 1983. It flew into the back seat, cicada squealing, my daughter in car seat squealing a Houston adventure long ago.
Hey I'm actually the employee at DMC that you talked to! Sorry for the disappointment. We closed during COVID and then stayed closed because we got too busy for anybody here to continue doing tours and such. The only exceptions that are made are for DeLorean owners. But thank you for stopping by regardless and it was pleasant talking with you.
The factory that produced the cars back then is 15 minutes from my house. They still have the test track that they used. They held a Delorean meet up this year and were allowed access to the test track once again. Very cool 😊
I asked the question because ATW said that the Uber driver was from Vietnam. I asked Adam if the driver mentioned had he seen the movie while he lived in Vietnam. Don't you think it is interesting that BTTF has 30 years of Worldwide appeal? It is a shared experience. Kids like Adam were reciting line for line dialogue. Movies are great thing to talk, as Adam discovered.
Me neither and my aunt have lived here since 78 and my step uncle has lived here all of his life and they didn't know. I see some exploring in my future..
Very nice tunnels. They've done a great job keeping them nice. It's interesting to see all the office workers in this post-Covid era. Looks normal again, thank God.

I was just on the Kennedy AF1 yesterday. If you didn’t already know, you can tour it at the USAF museum in Dayton OH. They highlight the spot where LBJ was sworn in with Jackie next to him and also the area where they cut out the seats to accommodate Kennedy’s casket. It was so interesting.
You know, some days as I sit here behind my desk watching Adam's vlog, I have to remember all the van days Adam has to go through to get where he is today, to not be soooo jealous of his care free lifestyle. Adam has earned this l.
Absolutely! I don't think a lot of people really know or understand that he's been doing this for YEARS now. They need to go back to 1 and watch.. and more should watch his stuff from the road trip with his dad (I loved that!) And the one with his mom too! The Forrest Gump stuff was EPIC! I could go on and on but you get my point. 😂
Hey Adam, the Clintons and Kamala were in Houston for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s funeral, which is why you saw Secret Service and the roads blocked at the Four Seasons. Stevie Wonder was there too. Go Astros today! I’m assuming you’re going to the game. I’m a Houstonian. Live in the Heights. It was fun to watch you cover the city over the last couple of days. Next time, come in the spring, fall or winter when it’s cooler!
My daughter works in Pennzoil place which is the building that you walked past with the pyramid wedged between two other buildings. That building has won many design awards. My husband works across the street in the TC Energy building, we refer to this one as the Wizard of Oz building! 😂 They meet up for lunch in the tunnels!
I remember hearing that the wind can get INSANE in that small space between the buildings. And that the connecting structure was there for that exact reason. IDK, maybe that's just an urban legend but it sounded plausible.
It’s cool to see my hometown on here, thought about going out there and running into Adam, but that would be almost impossible with all the people in downtown. Not trying to brag, but Houston is a very modern city, they keep up with any advancement that comes up. And their highways are some of the best designed there is anywhere in the U.S.
Houston underground is fascinating. They have a history of the tunnels tour that would be cool to check out sometime. Thanks for taking us through. I have tried to visit the Delorean factory on multiple occasions and have never been inside. Cool to see so many cars out. Thanks for another fun tour around our city.
Glad to see you hang out in my hometown!! The Big H-town!!! Thank you for touring the tunnels!!! I have been wanting to do this!!! It has been years since I have gone underground in H-town!!!
I pretty much lived in the tunnels during my 10+ years working downtown. Nice way to avoid the heat and humidity. 😊 Not to mention all the creature comforts that can be found in the tunnel system.
Native Houstonian and I have been down in the tunnels once or twice many, many years ago. I did not realize how vast they are and very nice down there. Also, the DMC is fairly near to where I live. I see it as I am driving down Beltway 8 towards 59 North. Never have taken the time to drive there to check it out. Very cool video, thanks for checking out my home town!!
That tunnel system was fascinating, I looked into it and there’s 6 miles of tunnels! With things getting hotter and hotter I can definitely see a lot of cities creating tunnels like that. And I definitely would have nerded out at the Delorean factory, been nice if the employee coulda let you in for just a couple minutes. Glad the Uber driver stuck around. Great video! 👍
Cool seeing all those DeLoreans! John DeLorean's brother, Charles, had a Cadillac dealership in Lakewood, Ohio that sold DeLoreans. I'd pass by the dealership everyday on my way to and back from high school and always loved looking at the row of DeLoreans for sale. Was an awesome looking car back then and still is today.
Welcome to H-town from a long time viewer! As a life long resident I can tell you the best thing Houston has to offer are freeways that enable people to leave for someplace better!
As a non-native Houstonian I've found that native Houstonians usually hate Houston lol I love it here after 12yrs, I'd never move back to CA. And no, I didn't bring the shitty CA mindset with me lol I also live closer to Galvestoon than to Houston so that may help with me not hating Houston hahaha
Meh. You’re doing it wrong then. Live in one of the bedroom suburban communities & commute to work an hour each way per day. Then on the weekends, stay home & never take advantage of all the cool stuff the city has to offer. This was my life. Now, I just stay in my spot only hitting the city if it’s well worth it.
ATW, as a born and raised CF resident you talk about the Florida heat being horrible and that's why you travel away so much during the summer months. But after traveling to Texas and Oklahoma last summer that mid West heat is on another level. I'll gladly take the humidity over that brutal summer heat. Glad your enjoying yourself, keep up the good work 👍👍
Houston is WAY more humid than Florida. IDK why but I live outside Houston and ive been to Florida more than a time or 2, maybe something about the current and the wind im not exactly sure but if you go down by the border or out just west of Dallas it starts getting into that dry dessert like heat.
I've always just use Houston as a export I never really considered the downtown offerings! What happens to downstairs when it floods it's below sea level.... I enjoyed this thank you for taking us along!
Jackie O absolutely had his blood on that dress. She never took it off until the next morning because she wanted to show the world what they have done to her husband. That dress also is in a secret secure location never cleaned and the Kennedy family can decide to make it public when we are long gone in 2103.
@@TheDailyWooI remember the gift shop in DC selling merchandise, like puzzles, with the picture of Jackie in that dress, with her husband, smiling happily on the stairs leaving Air Force One. …I would turn to the back, and the date of the photo was printed on it… …it was taken a hour before the assassination. Well that fun family cardboard puzzle just got dark! Another creepy thing, that Lincoln he was shot in… …there wasn’t enough time to replace it. So while a replacement was being built, the existing Lincoln was restored, repainted, and modified… …LBJ hate riding in it. That’s right. They made him ride around in the same car his predecessor was murdered in!
Houstonian here. The green building you’re pointing out at the ~5 minute market is the Wells Fargo tower. It was built in the 80’s. It’s 71 floors, you transfer at 59, you’re going so high up there.
You should make the trip over to Galveston and go to the strand. Lots of old victorian architecture with antique stores, restraunts and shops. Lots of history there.
I always found the GIANT statue at the cross section of Broadway/25th street was sooooo out of place. Looks like something out of ancient Rome or maybe a previous civilization....
The first time I saw Back To The Future was in 1985 on the floor of my elementary school library along with my class mates here in Georgia. It was an unforgettable experience and I still adore that movie. Loved Michael J Fox in Family Ties too. 🥰🎞⌚
true story here. The first time I ever saw a Delorean was a sad sad sight. It was dropped at an auto shop in a tiny town called Harmony MN. It was 1989-early 90. It was totaled and the guy driving it was killed. An 86 Ford Bronco II basically drove right up on top of it in a head on collision and in the crash the drivers head was pushed down and got impaled on the gear shifter. I visited the car many times. I was 11 yrs old. It was sad, very sad. I got to keep the entire tail light section off the Delorean. I asked the shop owner. Someone ran off with them at some point. I had them on my bedroom wall...even hooked up to a small motorcycle battery. It was a cavalcade of emotions for me. Got to see an actual Delorean..got to keep a piece off the Delorean, but knowing a guy died in there and seeing the remnants. The driver of the Bronco was fine and they even fixed his Bronco. The Bronco drove up the hood and onto the roof on the drivers side crashing it down. I haven't seen another one in person since and I'm 46, well in 2 weeks I will be..yikes!
I didn’t know that Houston has a series of tunnels for people to get in out of the humid heat. Plenty of shops and restaurants for one and all. And a great visit to the Delorean dealership. Those cars were built in the 1980s, but look like they’re from the future.
Adam, the sign said "by appointment only" and had a number so you should totally call & see how soon they could book you! Maybe you could get in before you leave Houston? Still, awesome to see.
ADAM if your still around the houston id love to meet you. There are many interesting places you must see while your in the area! Your an inspiration to many! Keep on doing you!
I really had to laugh at this video. Adam closes out the video by showing a sign claiming Houston has the lowest crime, but during the video theres like 20 people getting arrested. 😊🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 There's cops everywhere, Secret Service, drug addicts everywhere, people unconscious lying on the sidewalk. Things are turning sideways across the city… But the sign says lowest crime . Adam is the Master of Irony. Absolutely marvelous
Very cool video, surprised that DeLorean has such a big service center, they should've let you buy a shirt. I LOVE that Arizona Flavor of Tea, it's my absolute favorite and I always buy it when I see it available in the store.
A friend had a Delorean (he was an executive at Jeep) it was fun to ride in. He actually had it shipped to Germany for a month long Italy, Spain, Germany and France four friend vacation. It seemed so Extra at the time😁
As far as walking on the sidewalk while the streets were shut down, you were golden. Pedestrian traffic is stopped once the “package” is moved to or from the vehicle.
They have one downtown Toronto too, it called The Path, it’s the longest in the world. It’s used for the opposite, because it’s great on winter days! When all that snow is outside, you can just walk for hours underground.
Awesome interaction with that Uber driver... I once had an Uber driver go though his first drive thru in the United States and treated him to a burger and fries! Lol... We got out of the car in the parking lot and ate the whole meal together... Haha.. So random..
Adam.. I do hope you get to go to Vietnam as I have spent 1 month there touring the complete country .. I loved Hue the most .. one of the most Beautiful country I’ve ever been to and the food is outstanding.. so very cheap there.
The sound you’re hearing in the trees are locusts 😊 We have them here in Ohio too. Usually when you start to hear them that means fall weather will be following soon 😊 We hear locust here each year close to fall & cicadas every 17 yrs. here 😊 And Back To The Future is a classic! 😊👌 It was neat when our generation got to experience the date on the Delorean in real time! 😀
I used to love when I worked in downtown Minneapolis. I made good use of the skyway system. I could essentially go anywhere downtown in the skyway without going outside. There were a lot of great places for food and shopping along the way. Though I think working from home now outweighs that, especially in the winter!
The painted cars are usually those that have been in an accident and the owner didn’t want to part the high prices of replacing the original parts and had them fixed and painted.
This was so wild to watch. I live 5 minutes from the DMC place and get to drive by it every day. Every time I pass by I hope to catch a glimpse of any DMC outside. Fun fact: It’s located in Humble, TX but no one in Houston (and surrounding areas) calls it Humble. We actually say “Umble” and don’t pronounce the “H”. Not sure why we don’t pronounce the “H”, but I’ve lived in Houston and the surrounding areas basically my whole life and never knew why.
Around 2006 my mother who lived with us told me that a neighbor down the street had bought an old sports car. I was confused because there was a new Dodge Charger in the driveway, and I just thought mom was confused with another neighbor that had an A/C Cobra replica. A few weeks later I was coming home from somewhere around 9 in the morning and her garage door was opened partially as people do that let their cats go in and out. Flames were shooting out the garage door burning both the front of the Charger and a PT Cruiser . I called 911 and banged on the front door until her daughter answered, the daughter was having a slumber party and she got her mom was upstairs and two brothers. After everyone was out including a dog a cat and a pet snake were safe that’s when I found out there was a recently restored Delorean still in the garage 😢. Apparently the fire started in the dry vent that had recently been PROFESSIONALLY cleaned. I saw it on the day they hauled it off, sitting on the ground tiers and rims burnt off it only looked about 3 ft tall😢
i never got to go in the tunnels before, with all the floods i never knew we had them until 3 years ago.. i have to go check that out next time i go down town
I can’t believe they have the DMC showroom closed to public now, ive been lucky enough to visit that location in a humble TX twice all the way from Australia and one time the I got a tour of the factory by the owner Stephen such a nice person
Been to Houston twice as part of a baseball trip. 2000 when it was Enron, and 2004. Did the ballpark tour in 2004. The underground reminds me of Toronto . Had lunch there and didn’t realize it was also the entrance to the Hockey HOF.
City streets looked like a ghost town................ I am retirement age a love BTTF. One of the few film series that held up over 3 films. We'd forgotten the film if it had stayed a Fridge!!! Thanks
Adam, my wife and I saw BTTF the Musical on Broadway last night. I know you would love it! The special effects were amazing, especially when the Delorean was hovering above the stage and first few rows of the orchestra. The next time you are in NYC you need to check it out!
I remember in the 80s 90s I went to the underground of Crystal City Virginia for the first time. I was amazed that there was an entire mall/world underground! I almost think every city should have that.
Im about an hour and a half from Houston, have family in Deer Park Tx, but never been to “Houston” really, other than Astrodome or Astroworld/waterworld when i was a kid, i never kenw of this existing. When you mentioned tunnels, i thought you mentioned some underground tunnels, i thought it was going to be some dark dirty tunnels, lol
I never knew Houston had underground passage ways and tunnels. I have been to houston a few times when I was a kid But I like that the Delorean factory, that's pretty cool. I'm heard of that place before. I am a big Back to the future fan.

No need to apologize. You represent Houston very accurately. The truth is the truth.

I certainly didn’t and I’ve been there a time or two. Reminds me somewhat of Toronto’s underground mall - The Path

There's cops everywhere, Secret Service, drug addicts everywhere, people unconscious lying on the sidewalk. Things are turning sideways across the city… But the sign says lowest crime .
Adam is the Master of Irony.
Absolutely marvelous
Well the VP was in town at the time..
@@sdlively27that’s sad
@@sdlively27I knew someone important was in town
I once go a ticket downtown from two mounted police. My tag was expired , one horse blocked me in front the other gave me the ticket.
“Texas Tree Creatures” sounds like a great B movie
Welcome to Texas! You ought to drive to Bryan/College Station to see all the sights, like Texas A&M and the Bush Library.
Very cool video, surprised that DeLorean has such a big service center, they should've let you buy a shirt. I LOVE that Arizona Flavor of Tea, it's my absolute favorite and I always buy it when I see it available in the store.
Adam, really enjoyed your awesome video! Cool tunnels under Houston! Cool delorians too! Looking forward to your next vlog.
This is my home town we allnway hang out at the downtown mall lolol we just left Florida last week so now we are back in Houston
A friend had a Delorean (he was an executive at Jeep) it was fun to ride in. He actually had it shipped to Germany for a month long Italy, Spain, Germany and France four friend vacation. It seemed so Extra at the time😁
Nice to See the DailyWoo Oucupied Caticomb's Exploring!!!; )
"Wait a minute. Wait a minute Doc, are you telling me you built a time machine out of a DeLorean?"
Same car they used in the movie lol
As far as walking on the sidewalk while the streets were shut down, you were golden. Pedestrian traffic is stopped once the “package” is moved to or from the vehicle.
This was an exciting vlog. So much to see. I had no idea they still made Delorians. That Uber driver had the best day ever. Love it!
Native Houstonian and didn’t know about this. Have always tried to stay away from downtown.
Thanks for showing me a native Houstonian things I have never seen!
Haha.. So random..
That’s really great . I like that
Atlanta had Underground Atlanta years ago. Good restaurants and bars back in late 70’s early 80’s.
You should check out the tunnels under Dallas. Mostly abandoned.
My Best Friend’s A Vampire (1987) was shot in some of the places you filmed…great video
DeLorean's galore! Cool that you stopped by the Company!
thanks for bringing me here Adam I ennjoyed
I don’t blame them for building those tunnels. I’ve been to Texas during the summer. The Texas heat can be brutal.
That Uber driver was awesome you made his day! Sucks it was closed
Good to see you back in my feed Woo.
That guy wasn't resting.
I live 15 minutes from the DeLorean company...would have been dope to meet you irl...maybe one day. Love the videos man keep it up.
i never got to go in the tunnels before, with all the floods i never knew we had them until 3 years ago.. i have to go check that out next time i go down town
How cool to see 12...yes I counted 12 Delorean's in that lot !! So sorry the place wasn't open to the public. 😢
I can’t believe they have the DMC showroom closed to public now, ive been lucky enough to visit that location in a humble TX twice all the way from Australia and one time the I got a tour of the factory by the owner Stephen such a nice person
DMC. Not open to the public 🙁 Loved what you were able to show!
My niece lives in Spring Texas. It's north of Houston. Hi Stacy! Hi girls!
I enjoyed this video. ☀️ 32 degrees Celsius for us British, so pretty baking.
Hey thank you! I didn't know about the tunnels and I have lived here for about 10 years and maybe 5 or so in the 80's.. I will have to check them out.
Had a funeral for a congress woman in Houston, the VP showed up for explains the secret service
And Biden came as well..
@@sdlively27he wasn’t at the funeral. But the Clintons were, as well as Hakeem Jeffries, and VP Harris.
@@ThePwig Biden came about 2 days earlier..
I didn’t attend the funeral, but I did send a nice letter saying that I approved of it.

I'm here for the unique, unexpected life of the city! You always give us the unexpected 😲
I never knew Houston had underground passage ways and tunnels. I have been to houston a few times when I was a kid But I like that the Delorean factory, that's pretty cool. I'm heard of that place before. I am a big Back to the future fan.
I live in houston and I'm surprised u went to that part of downtown
I love them too back in the end of the company the Dealership near me I came to close to buying one for 25.000 , but I walked away no warranty
