Some additional tips I've found out, that where not necessarily in the video, not even the in game tutorial, Back attacks do in fact deal extra damage, as does shooting projectiles in the head but what's really considered a Crit is if you Stagger an Opponent you get this little skill check mini game where you have a line on your screen and a heart symbol that has to match up, for insane damage, that's what's known in game as a "critical hit". Back attacks and Headshots still deal "extra damage" but Critical Hits throw the opponent to the ground. Where you can follow up with a Sprint attack to finish them off most of the time. You can Stagger the opponent (afaik) in 3 ways, one is hitting them with a Shieldbreaker move (block + attack), hitting them with your third attack out of your mouse 1 combo and a back attack. Try it out and get a feel for it in the pre game lobbies as much as you can, as soon as you learn this mechanic the better, you will win a lot more 1v1's that way. As for Mages, Lightning bolts and Super Fists, Fire Walls etc. are all great spells and deal a lot of damage but do not sleep on the Crows. Whenever there is a Knight chasing you down, holding shield up etc. you can still Crow spell him and make him completely vulnerable to your attacks for a short amount of time, often enough to outright kill him. as Mages have no way of Staggering or "Crit", they can still headshot with most Weapons and some Spells even snipe enemy siege towers. It's your job after all to destroy them, more often than not, a high level Fireball will make quick work of any siege apparatus, so sometimes it's useful to have that in your arsenal. Also. don't sleep on your Group Casting Spells, the more people join you in it, the more potent the buff becomes, as for the Barrage, the more people join the more each of you shoots, so it scales almost exponentially. Try to look around, maybe there are teammates that can help you cast this spell for added bonusses. Getting points will determine if you get Rank at the end of a Match, so even if your team is losing it's still worth playing your objective, you may rank up even if you lost. (And, I think, get more rewards based on your performance.) As Spec Ops, look for opportunities within the enemies Line of Defense, Often you will find that you can just simply walk around Enemies that just rush down mid and take their tower, sometimes solo even, as you have 2 spawns to flank the front line afterwards will assure you a lot more room to go for other objectives- 2 People building one Structure rewards less points BUT the mate that gets the final hit before an Upgrade (Like Siege Tower and Armor of said Siege tower rewarding 50 and 100 Valor Points respectively) gets it all, while the other one gets nothing, sometimes it's worth sniping that, because teammates don't understand what's happening and that they are kinda grieving you , even if the intentions are good. Lastly, the Hunter Crossbow is really good at sniping those Mages and Clerics even. A Good Hunting Crossbow may more often than not be more beneficial to low Level Characters than a Sword or Mace of the same Grade. Once you get good at it you will find it has a very good range and excellent accuracy, it honestly may be nerfed in the future of the game.
Slight adjustment on the "Permanent UAV" part, I believe the game only telegraphs enemies in your keep and in direct line of sight of allies. I am not 100% sure how it works but it's not "all are shown on map at all times" because I've seen on numerous occasions multiple enemies hitting a wall that are not telegraphed on the map until I spot them, you can still hear and see the effects, ofc. but it's not always on UAV mode.
Quickly build and reinforce 2 ballistas (build speed/accuracy traits help) recall to the middle tower with tier 1 Cleric and spam heals and resurrect, play the rest of the game with your highest tiers 😁
Came back to say this, you can weave in Guard Breaks into your normal attack combos by pressing m1 + m2 in the middle. Insanely useful if you just prevented a guard break from an enemy with a normal attack for insane damage also you can attack them on wake up from the ground and mixup with a guard break as they are standing.
Bro most games I deal with the exact problem. I personally try to use the tactics shown for selection but everytime I don't play castle guard everyone just leaves it defenseless. I play with my brother so we've slowly grown accustomed to just playing guard the castle.
Update: People still rush middle only and clerics hardly ever focus on healing. Mages still spam lightning but its easy to dodge and block them. Ignition is a broken spell because you'll hardly ever see it coming since it crawls along the floor towards the target.
Hey man! Thanks for the video, really good tips. My only advice would be to turn down the game sound so we can hear you a little better, had a tough time following along with all the clanging and sound effects from the game going down. Appreciate the help getting started!
New player trying to decide if this game is worth a time sink; early game seems balanced around the untitled players. Am I grossly under powered if I only have a single 2 star character in the late game? And how often do you get decent gear drops? I got a few epics and mystics in my first 5 games but my friend only got 3 rares and a salty Attitude toward the rng
Very good video with good information. My tip is...ALL PLAYERS... can resurrect. Help your team mates always, don't cut and run. Death is a good thing in this game.
With warrior u come with multiple moves pre installed when u start playing the warrior. for example double blocking gives u a parry that lasts for a short time and sprinting a bit then attacking does a leap attack
The ranking system is flawed. for every victory you gain minimum point towards next rank but 1 loss and you loose half of the points you gained ? How does that make sense?
Pushing for everyone to follow tactics and play their role is good... but the people who are mindlessly charging down middle lane will NOT be watching a video to improve their abilities. They are tunnel-vision idiots who will stop playing the game after a week because "its trash, you just die to ballista every time"
I think it’s mainly because only 5-10 people want to play a certain role but can’t because of their squads. In other games like Battlefront you have an individual player don’t have much power. But you have the freedom to play how you want on defense attack or objective based. Every game I’ve won I was lucky enough to be on special ops. Every game I lost was because 1 or two guys on my squad picked assault so I’m stuck doing a role I have no interest in. Plus what’s the point of choosing tactics in the beginning if everyone is going to choose balance? They either need to randomize the order of each match or remove it entirely. I just started playing and it’s so fun but It’s not as fun being assigned a role you don’t want. I guarantee you that if people who wanted their roles got them and then everyone else got to choose or fill in, matches would improve.
Double tap the block button to parry the opponent with your shield. Game changing once you've figured this out since it feels like nobody does it :)
The game does literally not explain this at all! Great find!
You’re goated

Nope I just played and saw enemies on empty lanes.
Spec OPS is the only squad that can be invisible on the radar, until they are in your line of sight

I am literally forced to be castle guards bc otherwise they just leave our castle completely defenseless
